It wasn't uncommon when Elena had a lot on her mind. Her conversation with Anatoly was running through her mind the most, though. It was true, she was very stubborn when she wanted to be. When it came to the people she cared about and making sure they were okay. She was worried about Damon, worried about Stefan, worried about Anakin. The joys of being the girl who everyone expected to be one way when she had grown from that person awhile ago. So knowing the signs and calling people on them and the conversations being ignored. She didn't know if Anatoly realized she'd been freaking out about two situations or just the Anakin one, but she could tell in his response he knew the downfalls of not facing the truth. The question was, how to make a Jedi knight talk. He could be as stubborn as she was but she knew he had to face what it was he was avoiding and learn to accept it.
And that was why she was once again doing a late night baking spree. Well, not spree. She just wanted to bake cookies for Anatoly to thank him for listening and well, not trying to lock her up for exclaiming something in frustration. Given her perchance for getting locked up for breathing when there was a threat, it was sadly an actual worry. But in baking, she had made more than anticipated. But that was okay. A walk in the night would do her good and she could go bother Martha. She knew that she worked the weeknights at the medbay and it wasn't completely unheard of for the nineteen year old to decide to bother Martha at random. It wasn't consistent so as not to make it appear that Elena had sleeping issues.. which okay sometimes she did, but irrelevant.
Two plates of cookies, two doctors. When did Elena befriend doctors? It wasn't a bad thing, far from it. Especially when she randomly had to miss class because of Seal related drama or... well intentioned over protective extremists decided that they knew what was best for her. They didn't question but made it so she wasn't penalized for missing class. Really, she didn't understand the reason why everyone was so anti medbay unless a crisis was happening. There was a difference between stubbornness and stupidity. So showing appreciation was a good thing. She'd just need to leave Anatoly's plate there because she had a feeling she'd get odd looks if she went to the apartment the Russians lived in. Besides, waking them up would be rude. With the temperature below freezing, Elena made sure to bundle up before she started the walk to the complex.
Now, because she was unaware that there was a new volunteer, Elena just walked into the medbay, expecting to see Martha. And instead, random dark haired guy with his back to her.
"....um, hi?"
He didn't look familiar, not that she could tell just from the back. But okay. Tall. Dark hair. Seemed to be in good shape. They already knew that Jerry wasn't back and he wouldn't have been able to get in anyway. And she doubted he would just chill in the medbay instead of causing havoc...
"Are you okay? I can go look for Martha or Anatoly if you need help?"
