"They are, Anatoly tends to worry unnecessarily, but... he's still a good guy." Okay, so to Elena, everyone worried unnecessarily when it came to her, but that was completely irrelevant. While Svetlana, Elena would never know just how to describe her. She knew that the blond woman tended to keep to herself and people seemed to fear her despite her mild manners but, well, piss her off and she did seem scary. But they were both good people, so Elena didn't really mind it. She just had to avoid more mini Russian psychoanalysis. Because Fayina was intense and very observant. It was sort of unnerving.
"It is. I mean, don't get me wrong. We get our fair share of psychopaths as well, on top of general Lucifer and his personal brand of evil. But we're all in the same place, we all got dragged here without warning and we don't get to return home until the Seal sends us back. So, we help one another."
It was the only way to survive, really. Because so many people would end up dead or possessed or broke and starving on the streets if they didn't help one another out.
And oh Mick had no idea about Mystic Falls. Because it wasn't just vampires and dopplegangers. So much more.
"Well, vampires, that would be...." And now came the mental counting game because, how many vampires did Elena know? Including those who had died? "Thirteen, which includes some of the Original family...?" Not that all of them were still alive. No. "Five of them are here in Lawrence, as is one of their fiance's, so that's six vampires here from Mystic Falls... then we also have werewolves, witches, my brother can see ghosts... .hybrids...."
The term hybrid was said with hesitation, but given that was why Klaus continued to hunt her, it made sense. So shaking herself, Elena sighed.
"I mean, they keep their secret, there's a council that is meant to hunt them so they have to keep their secret but... once you get tied into it, you start noticing it all around."
Or it focuses on you and every single pain and death is then on your hands but that was something Mick didn't need to go.
