Helena was trying to spend a quiet day at home and just try to unwind herself from the past week. Bruce had given her a favorable answer to the problem she had with reverse engineering the Imperceptor Vest. She still hated how irrational she had gotten all because she'd kept her agitation to herself. But apologies had been made, now she needed to ensure she didn't let that happen again. Keeping herself from getting irrational was sometimes difficult to do, but it was necessary. After all, as Claudia had told her, it was difficult to change one's habits. And keeping things quiet was probably Helena's worst habit. So she would try to keep herself centered and focused and remind herself to talk to people when she needed to. She couldn't allow herself to get as bad as she'd once been. Helena had reasons to live, to be a better person now. More than that, she had Emily, a second chance at being a mother, and she wasn't going to let the little girl down. Helena loved her, and she wasn't about to lose that. She'd all ready lost one daughter, she wasn't going to lose a second.
Currently, Helena was in the kitchen, cleaning up some dishes and putting them away. She'd intended to do this earlier in the evening, but Emily had sufficiently distracted her. But Emily was currently tucked into bed, hopefully for the night. Which left Helena to clean up and hopefully get a few things done around the house. It wasn't as though the house were dirty, Helena was an impeccable housekeeper, but she always went around and ensured Emily's toys were properly picked up and put away so no one would trip over them.
"Mummy?"
Helena froze upon hearing a child's voice. It couldn't be Emily, she didn't talk yet. But there wasn't a child in this household. Helena's back was to the direction the voice had come from and she was terrified to turn around. Because she recognized that voice. It was impossible. That voice couldn't be here.
"Mummy?" The voice asked again. Taking in a breath, Helena slowly turned around, and what she saw was impossible. Gone was all her knowledge of the Seal and knowing people could be pulled here after death. She dropped the plate in her hand and it shattered as it collided with the floor. The sound of shattering was shortly followed by Helena's scream as she fell back against the counter, feeling her knees trying to buckle. Gripping the counter tightly to keep herself upright, Helena could only stare in wide-eyed horror at her daughter.
"Ch-Christina?" She asked, her voice barely audible.
"Yes mummy, it's me," Christina replied, looking up at her mother.
Given the fact that Christina appeared exactly as she had when she'd seen her in the Soul Trap in Warehouse 2, Helena was suddenly certain she was in that Soul Trap again. It was the only thing that made sense to her right now in her completely shocked and horrified state of mind. As such, she knew if she was indeed in the Soul Trap, the floor was falling away from around her and sooner or later, she would fall to her death. But she wasn't thinking about any of that right now. She was completely focused on Christina, who was looking up at her. Helena wasn't certain whether or not she wanted to give in and embrace her daughter because if this was merely some illusion that someone would pull her out of again, she didn't know if she could actually handle that again. But likewise she wasn't certain she could handle Christina being right there.
