Who: Belle and Emma Swan
What: Belle runs away from the Beast and the wolves chase her into Lawrence. And Emma finds her. She just can't escape the fairy tale characters.
When:20 June 2012, 10:30 pm
Where: Random street in Lawrence
Warnings: I really hope there are none. I mean. Disney Princess who isn't a princess yet but you know....
Yes, Belle had made a choice to replace her father as the captive for the Beast, but that was before she had seen just how dangerous it was. She would make it again to keep her father safe, but staying? Well, Belle was a woman of her word but even that was asking too much. He was unstable, could kill her. And while the brunette wanted adventure, she also wanted to survive, so if she had to break her word to do so, so be it. Perhaps she should have listened to the warnings not to go into the West Wing, but that sort of temper, it was dangerous. Far more dangerous than she had originally believed the Beast to be.
So she ran, ran from the castle into the night. Anything was better than that place. She had signed up to be a prisoner but she couldn't, not in those conditions. She hated being considered property, of not being an equal, but the rage in the Beast's eyes terrified her to the core despite all the bravery and boldness she had shown until that moment. He wouldn't notice. Or if he did, she would be long gone and he would be left alone in his castle because his servants were too afraid of him. He scared everyone because of his temper.
Maybe she should have thought the plan through more, because as she got further away from the castle, Belle realized she was lost. She didn't know how she had gotten there in the first place and now it was dark out. The middle of the night. Anything could happen and no one would know. Her father would lose her as well and he had never truly recovered from the death of her mother. If he lost her...
"No. You're going to be fine, Belle. You just need to--"
And then a wolf's howl. Okay. That wasn't something she had taken into consideration. Not that she had taken much into consideration beyond getting away. Stumbling back, Belle's eyes widened as she noticed eyes watching her, so many eyes. The fight or flight instinct was strong and her reflex was to run. Run as far and fast as she could. But in running fast, the teen didn't notice the log until she tripped over it, crying out in shock, the wolves advancing on her. Closing her eyes tightly, she waited. For nothing to happen.
Opening her eyes warily, Belle blinked as she was suddenly in a park with people asking if she was okay. In English. In... accents she had never heard before. Just what had happened? Where was she? She had said she wanted adventure, but having an idea on her surroundings would be better at the moment.
