Status/Rating: In Progress/Uh... there's already some blood (minor) but hopefully nothing too bad?
Althea hadn't meant to. She hadn't meant to break down so completely like that. But she had been here for a week and it was maddening. All of the different futures colliding on top of her, in front of her, strangling her. When she had first shown up, Eleven, her father, had found her because he always found her. She had told him, yes, but he had found her and it had been so surreal, that he was there, with so many paths in front of him. She had been so overwhelmed that she had clung to him because he was her father, he had died to protect her and she had lost his time stream forever. Until she had shown up here. Until she was brought to the TARDIS where all three versions of her dad that had been involved with the apocalypse resided. Where her mother still was alive. True, they couldn't be in the same room as they would just heighten the pain and brightness and suffocating for one another, but Eleven had explained Skype to both of them so the two had been able to talk. It had been... strange. And for some moments, she had been okay. She had been grounded. Her parents were here. But that never lasted because of all the changes happening daily.
And now? Now it was so much worse. It wasn't just steps being made, people knowing they had children and potentially altering their futures. No. The Winchester girl had outed the demon Meg. Would she have been outed had they not been there? Not now. And it was information from the future. The battle cry was heard and there was so much pain. So many changes would come from that one move. She understood. People wanted to save loved ones. Wanted to avenge loved ones. Wanted to protect people. But the information wasn't organic. It wasn't time. The alterations were so much worse and then people got switched out again and River was here and that should be good but River wanted to destroy the Master and Romana and that would alter time.
Althea knew what she had to do. She had to be the sacrifice. She had to protect and preserve the time stream. She knew they all said she didn't have to be. That she was more than the sacrifice but what was she? She shouldn't exist and maybe all life was special but she had to keep time from collapsing and if that meant being the sacrifice then so be it.
The fact remained that as she never actually typed but her connection was to the computer and network through her mind as part matrix, Althea was pacing in agitation, breathing quickly as she scratched at her arms without notice, she didn't notice the blood, she just kept scratching and pacing as her mind went over all of the possible paths to take. Searched for Elizaveta's time stream to find her and destroy the two of them so that time wouldn't collapse. She couldn't protect this time. She couldn't keep people from changing it, but she would not allow Elizaveta to try and alter a fixed point. She couldn't let time collapse.
"Take the left and come behind her. Altercate. Twist and spin. No. With them. Have to get her alone..."
The comments were muttered to herself as Althea kept with her nervous behavior. She hadn't been this bad since River had saved her from the men who had taken her after Eleven's death. After she had tried to find his time stream because she had refused to accept her father was dead. His death wouldn't be in vain. She would fulfill her purpose. She had to. Because then he could live. And so could Sexy. And they could help save the future.
It was changing. The stars kept screaming. But some were singing. Would the singing or screaming get louder? People were dying further in the time streams. People here would stop existing. People who died who lived and those who had lived would die. All of them were flashing in front of her.
"Stop it! I need to be able to think!"
