Althea wasn't surprised by Elizaveta being with her parents. All of the future children seemed to be with their parents for the most part. Even she was when she shouldn't be because it hurt her mother and there were three fathers for her and one of who should be dead and was breaking her heart by being so him that she didn't know how to handle it. But she knew that River wouldn't be surprised either. It was the most logical place to be and there was nothing they could do about it no matter what they wished. She knew what the Master had taken from River. Had felt it. Had led the Doctors to them because it had to be, because she had to be saved. But Romana would always paint anyone who disagreed with her as mad because she always had to be right.
It was Eleven's death all over again and Althea knew that. How could she not? She lived it constantly. Even with his time stream lost to her forever in their time, she always tried to find it, tried to cling to it only to see it when it vanished, to feel that pain all over again. And being here... feeling his time stream so young and vibrant. It hurt her so much. Because she simultaneously felt it vanish on her and leaving her cold, so very cold.
"Embodiment of his love, but destroyed them both! I'm just like her. Destroy the best of the world by existing. Shouldn't exist!" Flinching away from River, Althea curled up tighter in herself, clawing at her temples.
"They will die because of me! They have and will and I feel it all the time! Even here! They care but they don't understand and he's my dad and I can't lose them again but I will and I can never be born and they will be okay without me! The shallow nameless graves will be me!"
And so the panicking and break down that had been going on for a week began because she was petrified of being lost. Petrified of losing her parents all over again.
"We're destroying everything!"
Hyperventilating, Althea scratched at her temples frantically, trying to make the pain of lost time streams go away. Trying to shatter the illusion and wake up but knowing she never would because this was real and all the time streams were destroying her.
