Leia was stressed, overwhelmed and getting a headache. It didn't help that she didn't really have any one she could talk to. Leia wasn't the most open of people. She was an ice queen, and was used to leading rebellions. She didn't know how to confide in people. And the two people she had grown to confide in were either, a, avoiding her or b, not there. Yes, she had her family, but there were so many dynamics with that that Leia had yet to grasp, be it that they hated her, were awkward around her or avoiding of the drama in their own right. Nor did Leia feel comfortable talking to them about what was going through her mind. She missed Han. Hell, she even missed Luke. He'd been her best friend and now, well, she hadn't really seen him since she had told him the truth of their family. True they had spoken some over the boards, but it had been worse since the strange Valentine's Day incident. Add in the dysfunctional dynamics of her family with Han... Well, it was enough to make even the most controlled of people feel the pressure.
Having done her Jedi training even though Anakin was off exploring, Leia had decided that she needed out of the complex. It was stifling. Yes, the roof garden was nice, and yes there was the shooting range, but honestly, if people wanted to find her, that would be where they would look. And right now, Leia wanted to be alone with her thoughts. She needed to figure out how to help this war they were in. She needed to make herself useful. And she needed to get her head back on. She had to accept that she was back to being alone and make herself fully ice again. Wishing for what wasn't going to happen wasn't going to make things easier. It just kept her in limbo. She had to forget the Rebellion back home and focus on the war here.
Staring out the window from the barstool she was sitting on, Leia sipped the glass of the, what was it, lemon berry martini, she had in hand, her mind racing as she tried to get her thoughts under control. She had done this before, why was it so hard to become cold again? At least, that had been the plan until some bloke decided to try and pick her up by offering to buy her another drink, which would have been her third.
"No, thank you. I'm fine." Keeping her voice civil, Leia fixed the man with a cold stare, only for him to touch her arm and insist, "I said no." And with that, she flipped the bastard off of her, ignoring the comment of ice cold bitch she got.
