A dopey kind of smile formed on his face when Leia gave him the kiss. It was funny how a princess like her could have ever fallen for a regular guy such as himself and also funny how he’d grown so fond of her. They were on the same side, in the end, but were very different on the surface. Still, there he was, apparently married to her with offspring to boot.
She went on to elaborate on the members of their family. It was a little surreal, but Han tried his best to absorb all of it. There were things that were unsaid, probably mostly because Leia didn’t know about them, that he, in that moment, didn’t have the guts to ask about. He wondered if he was a good dad and a good husband.
There it was. She offered to fill him in on the events that had occurred after they’d frozen him in Carbonite, but something in her tone kept him from shouting a hasty ‘yes!’. It had to be something awful, he could see it in her face. Still, after a moment he leaned in just slightly. “Tell me.”
