WHO: Sam & Dean
WHAT: DEAN FINDS OUT ABOUT THE DEMON BLOOD. OH NOES!
WHEN: Evening. During a hunt.
WHERE: An old warehouse in Casper, Wyoming.
RATING: PG-13. There will be blood, monsters, and violence. Probably cursing too.
Just because Ruby was out there working underground (at least, Sam still hoped that she was working underground - considering the dead silence he had been getting from her over the past week, he couldn't honestly say he knew exactly where she was, what she was doing, or even if she was still alive at this point) didn't mean that Sam and Dean were going to stop digging around topside. Sam had been picking at various demons here and there; following their tracks, watching their every move, and interrogating them as often as possible. All of those hunts had left them pretty empty-handed thus far, but Sam was hoping that this one would work differently. It had to, right? They could only bust up but so many demons before one finally cracked and spilled all the answers that they had been looking for. Hunting down demons wasn't as easy as all that though - at least it wasn't for Sam. He had surfed through most of this week and a good portion of the last going from little to, finally, no blood on him whatsoever. That wasn't a good thing. It left him looking extremely worn through and made the entire part of him that was so focused on finding Lilith stumble quite drastically. He had a terrible temper, he wasn't paying attention to things as much as he usually did, and Sam was constantly tapping his fingers and moving around. He looked like a caged animal. One that needed the fresh taste of demon blood in his mouth more than anything else in the world.
Still, that wasn't going to stop Sam from hunting Lilith. He was literally obsessed with finding and killing her (he had been for over a year now) and he would stop at nothing, not even the path to detox, to find her. Shotgun in hand, Sam stepped around the side of the Impala and stared across at the warehouse that loomed ahead. Another hunt. More demons. Maybe this time...
"You got the holy water?" Sam didn't look at his brother. He was too busy examining the building. That and, of course, he didn't want to share his brother's gaze if he could help it. Dean was no fool. He'd be able to tell something was wrong with him.
