The shots between Sam and his brother were effective enough. The demons backed down, if only for a moment. Sam straightened up, turning to eye the others with a flash of annoyance seeping out from his gaze. The demons that they had managed to shoot back looked more than furious with them, but seeing as the leader had yet to make a move Sam was certain that they weren't going to advance again. At least not right away. Gun still tight in his grip, Sam let Dean address the leader as he focused on the others.
The leader grinned in spite of the gun being pointed at her, the tiny body she was possessing slinking toward Dean in a snake-like manner. The demon stood right at the barrel of his gun, black eyes boring into Dean's own as that smile of hers spread even wider. "We know who you are, Dean. Do you really think that we are going to tell you anything? She wouldn't like that. And anything that you could do to us will be nothing when compared to Lilith's wrath." The demons behind her seemed to agree, though they didn't look anymore pleased by the Winchesters' presence. There was a tense feeling in the air, very much like a battle on the verge of beginning. That's what this all was, wasn't it? The demons weren't going to let Sam and Dean walk out of here without a fight.
And Sam certainly wasn't going to let them run away without him showing them why Lilith was someone that they should be the least bit worried about. He wanted his answers. He wanted Lilith. If they wouldn't willingly tell him where she was..."We'll send you back," Sam growled through gritted teeth. "Right back down to the pit. You think Lilith'll be happy to find that you were sent there because two hunters duped you?"
The leader broke out into a wicked sort of laugh. "If you can dupe us, you foolish boy." At that, the other demons began to move forward, looking more than ready to fight.
