His need for the demon blood clouded all of his senses. Day after day without it left Sam feeling pretty drained. Now that he had the opportunity to drink, he found that stopping wasn't simple. He was going to drink this demon dry. He wouldn't stop there either. No, Sam was going to get his fill from all these black-eyed sons of bitches. He'd drink as much as he could, drain the rest for later usage, and then use it as needed until he could find Ruby. The blood was his. All of the blood was his. These demons had no idea as to what kind of mess they had just gotten themselves into. Sam closed his eyes, pinning the demon to the ground viciously as he continued to drink. He was already beginning to feel so much stronger. Nothing could stop him now. Nothing, not even - Sam.
His eyes snapped open and Sam turned his head, still hunched over the demon on the ground. He looked for all the world like an animal more than a man, blood staining his mouth and dribbling down his throat as he looked across at his brother standing before him. What was his problem? Didn't he realize that Sam was trying to...? Sam frowned. Drink demon blood. He was trying to drink demon blood in front of his own damn brother. In all his hunger and desperation, Sam had forgotten that he wasn't alone. Not good, Sam thought anxiously, really not good.
He didn't have time to explain. It seemed that as soon as Sam came out of his daze, the demons did as well. One launched for Dean from behind and Sam immediately threw his arm out, latching onto the black smoke that carried the body with his mind. "I don't think so," Sam snarled, using his ability to drag the demon out. The body began hacking up a cloud of black smoke, which in turn streamed straight down onto the ground and began burning it's way right down to hell. The sudden gesture, to an outsider, may have looked like Sam had been about to attack his own brother. With the darkness in his eyes and the blood smeared across his face, Sam certainly didn't look much like the brother that Dean knew anymore.
