Who: Paige and Prue
What: Sisterly bonding/getting-to-know-you over coffee
When: BACKDATED to the 5th
Where: The apartments to begin with
Warnings: Uhh most likely nothing worse than some swearing. And there will probably be quite a bit of awkwardness to begin with, at least on Prue's side.

After appearing in this world, Prue had been on an emotional rollercoaster. Learning about her death had been hard enough to hear, but to find out she had a third sister was beyond anything she had expected to hear. She had taken some time to let herself digest everything Phoebe had told her. After all, when she would be sitting and talking with Paige, the last thing she wanted was to be an emotional wreck. And given her track record with her emotions getting out of control and her powers destroying something, she did not want Paige's first memory of her to be her shattering something or blowing out a window or part of a wall.

When she felt that she was in control of herself, she had arranged with Paige a time to sit and talk. Prue was feeling a bit nervous about sitting down with Paige, and she didn't really know why. Was it because Paige had become a Charmed One after her own death? Or was it because she had been a family secret their mother had kept from everyone? After everything Piper had gone through with Leo, Prue understood why her mother had kept Paige a secret, but she inwardly felt a bit cheated out of having another sister.

It didn't take long for her to wonder about Paige, what she had been like growing up, her passions and dislikes. On the day they had set for their coffee talk, Prue went to Paige's apartment and knocked on the door, taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. She had a fleeting though that she should get a job. She needed money so she could get herself some clothes, though this would be the perfect opportunity to raid Phoebe's closet and borrow her clothes for once.

Prue wasn't the only one was nervous about this meeting. Since Prue's arrival Paige had felt as if all of those insecurities she had worked so very hard, and rightfully, to get over had come back up and turned itself on it's head. Paige knew she had proven herself. As a Halliwell and a Charmed One. She had proven herself and was still proving herself as a witch. She was a good aunt and a good sister. She had found her place and was still learning more. But what was the problem? While she had the acceptance of her two other sisters and herself, of Grams, her birth mother, and the magical community back in her world ... Paige had never imagined that in this life time she would have to look for it from Prue. It wasn't that she had never dreamed of meeting Prue. She had. She wanted this meeting. This chance and opportunity to get to know her sister. Yet with every year that passed with that never happening and knowing that it very likely wouldn't happen until she had her sisters had fufilled their destiny as Charmed Ones, Paige had put the idea in the back of her mind. She had never thought it would be happening like this. A little more warning would have been good. Not that months of warning and prepping would do much in disappating all of her nervousness and anxiousness. And there were a lot.

What if Prue didn't like her? What if she didn't think she was good enough? Strong enough? She had almost backed out of the meeting but Paige didn't make a habit of backing down from anything. She knew that she had done a lot of good as a witch and a Charmed One. She knew she had a lot to offer as a sister and a person. If she had to work to prove her place to Prue, then she would. She wasn't going to feel inadequate about how far she'd come. Which was why when there was a knocking on the door, Paige didn't jump very much out of her own skin. ... Or orb in/out of the place she was standing, as she tended to do when she was jumpy or overly scared.

Taking a deep and relaxing breath, she set her shoulders back slightly and put on a friendly smile, as she went to open the door, "Hey." She said to Prue. "Why don't you come in? I need to get my jacket."

She mirrored the friendly smile when the door opened. "Paige, hi," she greeted, then stepped inside the door. "Thank you. It's a bit odd not being in the manor and close to the sea, isn't it?" Prue inwardly thought that was a horrible icebreaker, but it was at least a mutual topic. Despite her fear and hatred of water, Prue found that she missed being near the ocean now that she was in this place. She had always gone to spend some time alone by the water when she was feeling depressed or lost. It was a way that she felt she could be close to her mother to find that little sense of comfort. It was a feeling she had been needing after learning everything that had happened back home, but she had no way to find it. Perhaps taking solace in her sisters would be what she needed.

Prue glanced around the inside of Paige's apartment, taking in the decor. She then looked back at Paige, thinking that she was definitely a Halliwell. There was also a sting of jealousy when she noticed Paige, too, had brown eyes, making Prue the odd one out. Genetics were really quite funny sometimes, and it seemed that Prue's genetics wanted to link her closer to her father, someone she had been estranged from for several years, rather than her mother, whom she missed more than she could ever say to anyone.

"I'm not usually one to be in this position, or even one to like it, but I hope you wouldn't mind paying for the coffee? I don't really have any money, which is something I really don't like. I promise you that I'll make it up to you." Prue had always been the one to take care of everything and everyone. After Grams had died, she had done everything she could to help support Piper and Phoebe and pay the bills. Not having any money at all was something that was not okay with her, and she felt really uneasy. She would definitely have to remedy that soon.

Paige took the conversation starter for what it was and she was, in a way, thankful for it. It was something that put them both on an easier, more similar setting. Missing the manor. Something that had been a staple for all of Prue's life and one that had been for her the past few years. Even when she'd moved out and lived with Richard. It had been good to know that the Manor was there. "It really is. I never thought I'd say this but some days I find myself missing not just the Manor but all the "fun"," Paige flexed her fingers for quotes."stuff that comes with it." Like demons. She could kill. Maybe it was too soon to jump into topic. A normal family meeting a long lost relative would probably start with something more neutral. However, they weren't normal. And not many families would get to meet their dead sister/sister they never knew existed. Not to mention from what she knew of Prue, kicking demon ass is what they were both good at. Something they could both immediately relate to. "Don't get me wrong and not to sound completely crazy." Paige rambled just a bit. "I miss the other wacky, more normal stuff of San Fransisco too." She really and truly did. "But a demon that I can throw a potion at ... yeah, I miss those."

Paige briefly went to get her jacket and came back, putting it on and pulling her pony tail from under it. "No. Of course I don't mind." She said. She'd have done it for any friend or family. She'd paid before or split with her sisters. And Prue was a part of that. "And don't worry about paying me back. Consider this ... advanced payment for whenever I steal your shoes in the future." Paige gave a slightly forced and nervous smile to accompany her joke. Trying to come off more at ease. But she really did hope she and Prue ended up being close enough to do such things, where they paid for each other and borrowed each other's clothing without asking. A few years ago Paige would have never believed that such tiny things could come to mean so much to her.

She was glad that Paige took the topic and ran with it. "Oh I know what you mean. I never thought I'd miss a demon or warlock showing up in the living room first thing in the morning trying to kill us. At least we could always count on that and we always expected something." Prue laughed softly. Despite all of the bitching that had been done about hating their hectic lifestyle, Prue really could never go back to living a normal life. She had grown to love being a witch too much to wish they could be left alone to live normally. Sometimes the fighting was the only thing to remind her she was still alive. "At least the demons back home could be killed easily. Well, at least most of them. Though I am a little glad to be away from the Triad. I was getting just a little tired of their games." She stopped herself before she went any further on that topic. There were several other, lighter topics they could talk about and save the heavy and serious ones for a bit later on.

At the comment about the shoes, Prue grinned, a little sparkle in her blue eyes. "I will definitely accept that. At least you'd pay me back for stealing my shoes. Phoebe barely even asked to borrow any of my clothes. So this is definitely a welcome arrangement." It would be fun to have another sister to borrow clothes from. "I'll find some way of paying you for when I borrow one of your shirts." She did tend to get upset when Phoebe would borrow her things without asking, at least a few years ago when they didn't have the best of relationships, but she did like having this sort of arrangement of being able to borrow things from each other without asking and making up for it later. She was actually really excited to get into Paige's closet and see what her taste was like.

"Exactly." Paige said, agreeing with all of what Prue had said. She briefly hesitated as she wondered if she should tell the other woman, ... her sister, that apparently the Traid still existed in the future. However, she decided to save that for another time. This situation was nerve-wracking enough. No need to make it worse by bringing up the memories of the Triad for Prue. "I mean." She paused ever so slightly, giving a very brief shrug. "Don't get me wrong or anything. I don't miss demon goo on my sweaters and jackets. Or going with Piper to explain yet again why we need a new grandfather clock. But I ... I guess I miss the familiarity." Which was very understandable. All of that had become a part of home for her and she wouldn't trade it for the world. Well, okay. She didn't mind this chance to get to meet Prue way before their destiny and mission had been accomplished. However, that didn't mean she didn't miss Piper and Leo. And Wyatt being the age that he was supposed to be and Baby Chris. "I'd deal with all of that for what we're used to." Though it was kind of nice not to have all of the Underworld after them and those they cared for.

Paige led Prue out of the apartment and closed the door behind them. "She asks now." Paige said with a smile. "Sometimes." She had the feeling that Phoebe had learned to ask to make her more comfortable. Paige hadn't been used to the whole sisterly bonding thing and Phoebe, from the very beginning, had been eager to help her catch up. To make her feel included. She chuckled slightly, "Sounds like a deal to me." Paige said with a definitive nod. She was kind of looking forward to it as well. From what Phoebe had told her and from the pictures she'd seen. Prue had been very conservative. At least in the early days before they all moved into the Manor. Afterwards, her style had gotten a lot more quirky with still some more reserved pieces. Paige recalled there was a particular poncho she had seen and liked. She could probably get into Prue's style. "So. Do you want to catch a cab or orb there?" She asked.

Slowly, Prue felt her nervousness leave her. She hadn't thought that Paige would bite her or anything, but it was a strange thing to meet a sister you never knew you had, especially when Phoebe and Piper knew her. "Who does miss the demon goo? Paying for dry cleaning was such a pain. Not to mention trying to avoid the odd looks from the dry cleaners." There was a lot she actually did miss from home, but Prue wasn't exactly sure she wanted to go home now. From what Phoebe had told her, she'd left their world not that long before she had been killed. Why would she go back home only to end up dying? She had obviously been pulled here for a reason, and as far as she was concerned, she wanted to stay here. Of course, that would probably mean the course of events in their world would be altered, and while Prue knew the consequences of such a thing, she wasn't willing to accept death. She was a fighter, and prideful and headstrong to a fault, but that's who she was. "Yeah, I would deal with it, too. Well...except for one thing." She couldn't bring herself to talk about her death. She did her best to hold in the intense emotions that thought stirred up within her. She hated showing weakness and vulnerability, and she didn't want to start bringing down the mood of the conversation. She managed to keep the smile on her face, covering the darker emotions within.

"I am proud of her for finally learning to ask," Prue said with a light laugh, successfully refocusing her attention from her emotions to something else. It had gotten highly annoying when Phoebe would borrow her best clothes without asking, especially when she had wanted to wear them. The story of Prue's life could be seen in her clothes, starting out as being more conservative to reflect the repressed and business-minded woman she had been after Grams had died and she had to pay the bills. It also reflected how she had acted more like a mother than a sister to Piper and Phoebe for several years. But once she had become a witch and embraced that destiny, she began transforming into someone more carefree and her clothes started becoming more flirty and lively, even introducing colors and patterns. One could say her style became reminiscent of a somewhat bohemian photographer. At the question of taking a taxi or orbing, Prue gave Paige an uncertain look. When Paige had orbed her back to the apartments when she'd first arrived, she'd felt so woozy. She had shimmered before when Cole had taken her into the past, but she had never orbed. "Well, if orbing would save some money and not draw any unwanted attention, I say why not? It is a pretty handy mode of transportation."

"Crazy people?" Paige asked with a smile. "Or well. Crazier than we are." Which was saying something. Given how wacky Paige tended to be and how out there even the most reserved members of her family could be ... It was really saying something. "The weird looks are the best. Especially when you're stuck between work and researching a demon. And you don't have time to think up of a good enough excuse." Paige had taken to just shrugging it off and her dry cleaner had taken to not giving her the looks in places she could see them.

When Prue mentioned the 'one thing'. Paige felt a slightly sober mood hit her. If it wasn't for this place, she wouldn't be having this wonderful opportunity. "I'd be willing to deal with the weird demons of this place for that one thing." Paige said gently, but her smile teasing and accepting that wasn't something Prue might want to talk about right now.

"It really is." Paige said when they stepped outside. "I still had a car back home but for the most part, I orbed to a lot of the places that I needed to get to. It made things easier when fighting demons." Getting from place to place and not having to worry so much about traffic. "Though, let me tell you, it was a pain in the ass to get a handle of at first." Those stories, were embarrassing but she was saying what she was saying now and willing to share them for Prue's benefit. They both had a lot to share with each other. Not only about each other but also about what they had both missed out on.

"Shall we?" Paige asked, jokingly holding out her elbow to ... her sister.

Prue laughed. "Can you possibly get crazier than us?" She was well aware of how crazy they all could be, and of how crazy the fringe members of the family were. Well, everyone except Paige, Wyatt and Chris, for obvious reasons, but they all had Halliwell blood in their veins and Prue was certain their apples didn't fall far from the tree. "Oh yeah, making excuses at work. Did you ever have one of those bosses from hell that threatened to fire you if you didn't show up for an important meeting and, of course, a demon decided to show up right before the meeting?" Prue was, of course, alluding to Claire at Buckland's.

At Paige's response to her comment about her death, she gave her a soft, warm smile. "Same with me." She appreciated Paige's understanding. She wasn't yet quite ready to talk about it, she didn't want her powers to run amok or anything.

"You are quite lucky. Think of all the gas money you get to save by orbing everywhere." It seemed to really be something handy to have, especially if you needed to get somewhere very quickly. Prue raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? You'll have to share those stories with me. I'd love to hear them. I can tell you about trying to get my astral projection under control." There was a bit of a mischievous smile on her face, though it was born out of excitement. Prue had always loved her sisters, loved their company, even when they were at each other's throats. And now she had the chance to get to know another sister. She wanted to be close to Paige, like she had been with Piper and Phoebe, and so far they were off on the right foot.

"We shall," Prue responded with a grin and linked her arm through Paige's.
