She mirrored the friendly smile when the door opened. "Paige, hi," she greeted, then stepped inside the door. "Thank you. It's a bit odd not being in the manor and close to the sea, isn't it?" Prue inwardly thought that was a horrible icebreaker, but it was at least a mutual topic. Despite her fear and hatred of water, Prue found that she missed being near the ocean now that she was in this place. She had always gone to spend some time alone by the water when she was feeling depressed or lost. It was a way that she felt she could be close to her mother to find that little sense of comfort. It was a feeling she had been needing after learning everything that had happened back home, but she had no way to find it. Perhaps taking solace in her sisters would be what she needed.
Prue glanced around the inside of Paige's apartment, taking in the decor. She then looked back at Paige, thinking that she was definitely a Halliwell. There was also a sting of jealousy when she noticed Paige, too, had brown eyes, making Prue the odd one out. Genetics were really quite funny sometimes, and it seemed that Prue's genetics wanted to link her closer to her father, someone she had been estranged from for several years, rather than her mother, whom she missed more than she could ever say to anyone.
"I'm not usually one to be in this position, or even one to like it, but I hope you wouldn't mind paying for the coffee? I don't really have any money, which is something I really don't like. I promise you that I'll make it up to you." Prue had always been the one to take care of everything and everyone. After Grams had died, she had done everything she could to help support Piper and Phoebe and pay the bills. Not having any money at all was something that was not okay with her, and she felt really uneasy. She would definitely have to remedy that soon.
