A new generation has come to Hogwarts filled with students who are full of life, ready to figure out who they are.
This game is for writers who want to develop an original Harry Potter character! The game allows you to develop your character through interaction not through your own character development journal. You can see exactly how your character would interact to various situations as they come to life in your brain. We want to write and have fun, while developing new characters. The application process exists not so we can pick your character apart, but so that you have the opportunity to outline who you see your character to be while giving the voting staff the chance to ask you questions that will help to develop your character.

Players are expected to be able to create their own plot ideas and any and all ideas from players are welcome. However, we do provide weekly challenges for those all too common writing blocks. We hope to see you soon!

X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and while we accept new characters we strongly encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.

Seattle; Drop by Drop is an urban fantasy/supernatural site, set in modern day Seattle. We've got a wide variety of playable races, from witches and necromancers to vampires and lycans, and several completely unique races like the Viri, who are winged humans, the Idimmu, refugees from other dimensions with colorful skin, wings, horns, and more, Shapeshifters, who come in several varieties; animals, reptiles, plants, and even a class who can shift their gender. And we just unveiled our newest race, the Deasura, who you might know by the name 'mermaids', but I can assure you, these are far from the cuddly disney versions you know.

We're a friendly and welcoming site, active but laid back. We've got a lot of great things for members, from a 'Searching For' section to a Player Adoptions section, writing challenges, diaries, and more.
Our plot is basically member driven and open, but we also have monthly, site wide storylines that anyone can get in on.
There's no word count; we have a variety of players who post anywhere from 120-1500 words on average.
And our apps are short! Just basic info like height, age and weight, with a focus on the history.

We believe in letting people have choices, whether it's using a celeb/musician/stock model or a custom made 3d model for their playby, or writing in 1st or 3rd person. We have the Sub Accounts mod, so we let players choose whether to use an accounts-per-player style or an accounts-per-character style linked to a main OOC account.

We're self hosted, but don't let that intimidate you; it's a very user friendly board software, and because it's self hosted, you won't have to worry about downtime or shutdowns. We use BBcode and html,and we are very newbie friendly, and we'll walk you through anything you need help with! We're also very laid back, encouraging members to register and hang around getting to know people rather than demanding applications be posted the minute you join.

Soon the campus will be covered with job recruiters, gadget wizards, research groups, medical facilities and independent contractors, all vying for a slice of the superpowered pie. In a school built for the cultivation, control, and understanding of individuals with powers, it's easy to see why Byrne would be the focus of international attention. On the brink of such an exciting time, with endless possibilities spread out in front of them, many students begin to discuss where their futures may lead. Some have learned to hide their powers and wish to join the world of "normal" humans. Others secretly court the Chaos Syndicate, and with plans to exploit their natural talents for fortune and power. And then there are those who are eager to fall in with the government sponsored Night Guard, and do good across the world.
