a casual game set in the fictional town of Lyric, California. Lyric, California isn't a town that much different from any other. It's got nice weather, a college, some high schools with bitter rivalries... And a population entirely made up of the real-life incarnations of songs. It's nothing supernatural, and no one really notices it, but whenever someone from outside of Lyric comes to visit, people get the inevitable "Gosh, your life is just like Jesse's Girl" or "I can't believe he actually wears his sunglasses at night." |
t's been years after the Battle of Hogwarts. The lives of those affected by the war are returning to normal, if there is such a thing. The Ministry has been rebuilt, restoring the dream of a safe world once again. Those that had died in the war are remembered as heroes. There is a memorial dedicated to them at Hogwarts where each name of the lost is etched in stone. Careers started to be built, lives came together and with time life felt safe. Peace is around them, and while the memory of the war still lives in the hearts and minds of those that fought in it, it's just a memor. The Quidditch League is thriving, the World Cup will behosted by Ireland in June 2006 and life is moving on. Keep Living is a Post Hogwarts game set around the lives of family and friends. Which heroes would go along with the act? Which would resist? Who is responsible for protecting the world now? And who are the true villains? As a part of the Super Hero Registration Act, the government has issued a law that any and all beings will special abilities are to release their identity to the Federation of United Nations. Even known villains are being subjected to the will of the world-wide governing organization and forced into rehabilitation programs where they will be offered a pardon for their crimes, so long as they follow the orders of the United Federation. The Problem is, can certain villains be rehabilitated? What are their true motives? Are they simply using their position as an tactical advantage to infiltrate and overcome global authorities? Sure enough, directly under the eye of the UFN (United Federation of Nations), super villains are plotting an overtake of government, bidding their time and awaiting the moment for Dark Reign to begin… Where will you fall in the midst of this political chaos? Will you join the Resistance and fight against the Registration Act or recognize the importance of diplomacy and work alongside elected officials (corrupt or not)? After the seventh year, comes the eighth. Voldemort has been defeated, the dust has settled and everyone is working hard to rebuild their lives following the end of the war. One would think that it would be a time of peace and healing... But not everyone is pleased with the demise of the Dark Lord. For he was a leader, and what's a leader without his followers? These followers didn't just disappear after Voldemort's death, no, they only went into hiding. Recruiting from their position in the shadows, the remaining Death Eaters are targeting the younger generation in order to restore their population and finish what they started. Those not aware of the darkness still surrounding them are going on with their lives as best they can. Only time will tell if things are really changing for the better. Or perhaps the world is merely being led into a false sense of security. |

You think you know London, its streets and alleys like the creases of your palm. You don't know all its secrets. In its depths are places to buy amulets and tarot readings, a talisman that permits the wearer to manipulate luck hangs alongside bottles of herbs and demon's blood. Books so ancient the pages are tissue-thin jostle against postcards of buses and telephone boxes. There are bars where the clientele don't just find the dim light flattering, but downright necessary, and the smell of brimstone lingers in the nostrils. There are corners and recesses where magic isn't trickery or sleight of hand, but blood and bone and flesh and you might -- you might -- catch sight of feathers pure as snow and light, if you know where to go. If you know how to see. There's a pitched battle being fought for this other London and your London besides -- one in which every human in existence is being counted in a gamble for souls, Heaven and Hell trying to tip the scales and grave-faced Librarians holding them steady. And all the time, people go about their lives with a little pinch of something extra in a London you'll never see. |
