Dex usually avoided the laundromat on Sunday afternoons, it was usually slammed with people that had normal work weeks trying to get their work clothes done and being super bitchy. However, a few things had kept him from getting there when he wanted which actually turned out not so bad as the laundromat was mostly empty. That was a surprise. He loaded up two machines near the back, sat down with his back against the wall and watched the front door as he flipped through a magazine without really reading it.

When he heard the door, he looked up and a hid a smile behind the magazine as the boy from the club walked in.

So Noah had underestimated the time it would take for her to get home. Twenty minutes, she'd said, and that was how long the drive usually was from downtown. This time around, though? She stopped midway for a cigarette break, because her nerves were shot to hell, and smoking was her own form of meditation. She ended up being home half an hour later, but much calmer than she would have been if she had been there on time.

"Sand?" she called out as soon as she walked in, closing the front door behind herself.

It had been a while since Noah had last seen Zack. She wasn't too sure how that happened, but she wasn't the type of girl who needed to see her friends all the time. There were the girls - the band - and then the girls - the regulars at the same bars Noah frequented in Arizona, but that was about it. Even Charlie only passed through her life now and then, and he was family.

So she wasn't hung up about how long since she'd last seen Zack, especially since their friendship, like most of her friendships, was the easy kind. She showed up at the bar he'd picked a little early, since things at the Hub had gone perfectly smoothly, and ordered a beer to wait for him at the counter.
