IT WAS a nice fall day in August when an owl came fluttering through an open window and into the home of Harry and Ginny Potter. The message was of a confusing nature, announcing an alumni celebration for Harry's graduating class. Their presence was requested back at Hogwarts, saying they were to be accompanied by the surviving staff from their year. Intrigued, Ginny quickly sent an owl to Hermione, cementing her suspicions that it wasn't just a rouse to get Harry out in the open. It seems as though there were invitations going out to everyone in their class. After much convincing, Harry finally caved and agreed to attend the celebration with his wife. On the night of the ball, everyone arrived at Hogwarts with high expectations. Getting to reconnect with old friends and Ron Weasley was even enjoying the thought of getting in a good tussle with Draco Malfoy now that he could swing a good punch or two. The Great Hall was decorated for a beautiful occasion, and all the girls who arrived were in awe. They mingled for a while, thinking it odd that none of the staff were there before them. It was only once the former faculty arrived, looking rather lost and confused, themselves that confusion and worry began to arise. However, they weren't left much time to panic. The minute Minerva McGonagall set foot in the room, being the last of the staff to arrive, the doors slammed shut, locking them all inside. With a large whirl, they were drawn from the time, itself. Landing in a grimy street seconds later, many of the former students wretched on the pavement after the violent travel. Looking around, they found themselves face-to-face with an unfamiliar world. What stood before them, looming like a lion about to feast, stood Britain. It was in ruins. There were scarce buildings to be seen and most of the streets seemed to be doused in blood. Scared and suddenly alone, the group trudged on to see what horror awaited them. The Other Side is an alternate universe Harry Potter post DH game. Stranded in an unfamiliar world, they come to the realization that there has never been a Lord Voldemort, here. He is more commonly known in this world as just plain old Tom Riddle, right hand man to she-who-must-not-be-named: Bellatrix Lestrange. The world has been run down since in her hands, and now they are stuck living amongst the miserable people already living under her rule. However, interests peak when they realize that they are accompanied by the Class of '78, including most of their parents. The only problem is, they're just as lost and confused as the rest of them. And, with Bellatrix's henchmen hunting them down and tagging them like animals, what are they supposed to do to get home? Some "Guests", as they name them, choose to try and join her army to save their own tails, whilst others try and plan a means in which to attack. Their theory: they did it once, they can do it again! But will it be successful? With Guests and other civilians dying left and right, they have to make a decision, and quick. |

City Of Hills is an aim and thread friendly play by (PB)/city based community set in San Francisco, California. Writers of this community are promised creative control over their story lines. As long as things are kept realistic, there should not be an issue at all. We are a game that encourages diversity among characters and accept all types of play bys. This is a pretty basic city-wide game, although we do focus our residential selections around fourteen neighborhoods. This game also accepts characters of all ages. The mutant gene popped up unexpectedly in 1999 though some would argue it began in 2000. For a while, maybe a year or so this had gone unnoticed but it was only for so long that something so spectacular could go unnoticed. It was in Wisconsin a boy by the name of Sammy Johnson had been spotted flying above his house by one of his neighbors. Immediately the neighbor had done the most logical thing she could do, inform the police. The police investigated, but the boy (and his parents) could not prove anything about this supposed ability of flight. Then, not even a week later a girl was caught turning invisible, another girl was creating acidic poisons with her hands and a newly wed couple was controlling and creating fire. Naturally, the Government had to get involved. They'd gone to these homes and these families to question them about their abilities, and after much deliberating and time the first mutant hospital was created in 2002. Immediately these people were shipped away to the hospital for testing. The term "mutant" had been coined and was quickly applied to anybody who possessed powers. With the knowledge of these mutants out, the human race was now growing to understand the real term of fear. What were these mutants capable of, what were they going to do to the regular humans that didn't possess these powers? continue |

We're currently retconning the premise, and we hope to start it again. PREMISE Welcome to a world influenced by power. There are no superhuman heroes, no dastardly villains here. You may be used to hearing stories of people joining secret teams and forming legions, flying around on planes, but this is not a comic book. This is a generation of gifted humans who, in the past six months, have lost their once normal lives. Some of these "mutations" were worse than others, but together they all are united in the fact that their lives will never be the same again. People began to notice things wrong with themselves. Wounds would heal faster, massive headaches would ensue, and suddenly they were in a different room. A man prayed to God that the next time he opened his eyes, his glance wouldn't destroy whatever fell within his gaze. This evolutionary jump wasn't just isolated to the United States. All over the world, people began to realize their true potential. Foreign governments are trying to recruit them to military forces, wanting nothing more than to control them. Scientists search out these special people, their intentions both good and bad. What was once considered normalcy has been corrupted. Questions with no anwers are on the tip of everyone's tongue: How, or why; are they connected? Is there a greater purpose, be it dark or light, that they must face? Already, some of these "freaks", as they were called, were using their powers for personal gain, and there was a concern that it would escalate. They would rob, they would cheat, and they would kill to seek vengence. Then there were those who tried to stay out of the limelight, frightened of their powers and the consequences that came with them. Some even found these powers as a way to gain attention, using them to save lives and get their name flashed on the evening news. The Wizarding World has seen its fair share of suffering, such as the reign of Lord Voldemort that occurred not once, but twice. But, as it was foreseen, good triumphed over evil and the world gained peace. It seemed to be everlasting for witches and wizards everywhere, a great relief to those who feared the worst in the midst of rebuilding. Twenty-five years later, someone now threatens to destroy the peace that has come to be, though not in such a way that would strike fear in the general public. It's much worse: Hogwarts has a new Headmaster and the students aren't going to like him. Tiberius Ogden was just appointed the position of Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the summer, the former Headmaster, Matthew Harrison, having abruptly retired when he suddenly came upon a very large sum of money. The Ogden name is famous for its liquor, though Tiberius has no interest in making drunks out of his peers. No, Tiberius Ogden followed another path, one of strict behavior that came with wielding a firm hand rather than a tap. A retired Hit Wizard, Tiberius has known a life of hardship and determination and believes that today's youth are becoming weak-minded prats. As a way to change this, he quickly took up the position Headmaster Harrison wished to discard. Students will be in for quite the shock when they return to school to have their yearly start of term feast. Not only are they receiving a new Headmaster, but he comes with a whole new set of rules - rules so numerous in count that a book of them was created - something each student will find at their seat. Will your student follow the rules or say Bugger All! to them? |

You might've noticed you're still largely human. I rather like that, but sometimes I'll do little things to change your appearance. Like, mmm, change how sharp your teeth are, put a few tattoos, and you'll always get a brand! If I happen to need you, it'll burn and we'll be back here. But that's something to be talked about later.
For now, I will let you know about what level you are. You see there are three and depending on what you are depends on your level of privilege. All is explained in the documents beside your hand.
