Goodge Street may not be on any traveler's guides. It may not be on an online list of the must sees of London but those who live in the area like to keep it that way. Those who know of Goodge know that is was the best place to get coffee in the morning, get the newest record on vinyl (the way music should be listen to) and in the evening, have the best pint on tap. They also know that come the weekend, when the night falls, that Goodge Street was the best place to find live entertainment.
Morningside Coffee House and Bakery has a wicked open mic night. Vinyl Junkies Record Store let up and coming bands play in their shop. Bounty's Tavern has a just started doing theme nights once a month. It seems that despite there differences the three most popular buildings on the street have something in common. This only leads to competition, friendly, of course, as they try to out do themselves. Bartenders are caught at the coffee house on their day off, record store employees at the tavern and the coffee house staff everywhere in between. This is the story of the staff behind the popular establishments. The gears that make everything run smoothly, because, without them.. would Goodge Street be anything to talk about?

X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. What began as a silly little prank among friends has ended up as a school wide fad. A few ambitious Gryffindors decided that since they were unable to find dates to the Halloween Ball, they would create a journal were they could post 'single ads'. This journal was accessible by any female or male in seventh year and served as an anonymous way for girls and boys to 'hook-up'. A Slytherin who wished to remain anonymous has taken the idea on step further. He set up a service where for two galleons anyone could send in their ad and have it open for response from anyone from the four houses. He assigned each person a codename that they could use when responding and required that the users only contact each other anonymously in the ad journal until the springtime when he is planning a revealing ball when everyone who spoke in the ads could meet face to face. He calls himself 'Romeo". When Severus Snape, the current headmaster, finds out about the journal ad service, he consults the teachers at Hogwarts. It is concluded that while inappropriate on so many levels, it is fostering a sense of togetherness. It is bringing together students from rival houses. Somewhere Bruce Banner is experimenting with gamma radiation, somewhere Dr. Henry Pym is making headway on discovering his Pym Particles, and somewhere Peter Parker is getting ready to go to a science demonstration that will change his life . . . but this game isn't about them (sorry, did we fake you out there?). Right now the only heroes that are operating in New York are some young mutants -- and they don't even have a name for their team yet. We are going back, waaaay back, and re-creating the formation of the X-Men, in a alternate universe game that is neither comic, movie, nor cartoon cannon, but rather, is a mix.

In the year 2008, a virus swept North America. Ever vigilant for a pandemic, citizens boarded up their windows, stockpiled their canned goods, and turned their neighbors in to the CDC. Short wave radios fell off the shelves, evacuation routes were prepared. Gas masks and specialty filtration systems were distributed. Pills were available for those showing early symptoms. Pills that did not work. That were later replaced with cyanide as their active ingredient. For those who were brave enough to put their fingers near a loved one's mouth. The United States, Canada, Mexico, the virus swept down into South America and festered in the heat of the jungle. In some places it burned out. Superstition ruled and saved lives. But nothing stopped the virus. Three months after the first diagnosed case of Currere Excessum was recorded, NATO approved Great Britain's use of nuclear force against the United States. It was assumed that all organic material would be reduced to ash under the impact. It was assumed that the Quarantine of the Americas would be temporary, at best. Any who survived the blast would be given the highest in humanitarian attention and medical care. The only American emissaries who knew of the plan lay incinerated in Washington. The Quarantine continued. The Americas lay abandoned. Empty. |

 | Original Character. Future. Arranged Marriage. 17 & Up. In the year 2010 the world was plagued by the full effect of Global Warming. No country was spared, and no one could imagine the speed in which it came. Within months entire cities were underwater, drier than deserts, or completely leveled. Thousands died and there was no end in sight. Many lost hope until 2020 when the Eden Project was founded. The Eden Project was a last ditch effort by the human race. Surviving scientists came up with a chemical, a gas called 'Eden' that would hopefully cool the atmosphere enough to put a stop to the catastrophes happening around the world. Slowly but surely the temperature began to drop and the storms slowed. In the time between the beginning of the storms to the launch of the Eden Project, the world population had dropped from nearly seven billion to a little below five. It was another six years before the effect of the 'Eden' chemical was known. It began in 2028. There were suddenly less children being born and by the end of 2029, pregnancies stopped all together. The men and women of the world were now completely sterile. It was soon discovered that the Eden chemical was the cause of the sterilization, that the one thing that had saved the world had also doomed it to an inevitable ending, the population destined to dwindle down to nothing. Now in 2048, after the population has dropped to below three billion, a solution has been found. The same lab that came up with the Eden project has been working for the past nineteen years to reverse the devastating effects without destroying the clean and near perfect atmosphere of Earth. The Fruitful project was a serum, a cure that reversed the sterilization but only in people below the age of thirty. The Global Government is taking a drastic step to increase the population. The Governments of the world began to administer the serum by either offering it for people to take willingly or slipping it into the water. To further insure that the population will continue to grow, a global law has been put into place. A marriage law. The Fruitful Law. Every healthy, non-married person between the ages of nineteen and twenty-nine are to be married, whether by choice or by Government selection. The couple will have a one year period at the most after their marriage to conceive. The Fruitful project is for the betterment of our world. Who will be your match? A note about the mods: The mods at Fruitful are experienced players who have seen their fair share of fantastic games...and the not-so fantastic games. First and foremost, they are players who want to be a part of an active, successful game. They are here to listen to your opinions, and to create a community of players, not just a game for characters to be played in. Outside of Bangor, Maine there is a road that leads to nowhere. Or does it? Crocker Turn takes you into the depths of the Maine forest along its unpaved road. At the end of the road there is the small town of Crocker. No one ever ventures out here because of the legends of hauntings, ghosts, murders, and an air of magic that surrounds the area.
The people of this town aren't always as average as they may seem. Legend has it that supernatural folk live here, ranging from witches to vampires to shape-shifters, and more. Some brave souls from surrounding towns come out to explore and some never leave.
This seemingly average town surrounded by legends can only be experienced by coming in and learning the truth.

The wizarding world goes far beyond the walls of Hogwarts. The Durmstrang Institute was created by German scholars for the magical instruction of Eastern European wizards sometime after the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was established. In its inception, Durmstrang accepted all promising students who had magical aptitude. However, the rise of the wizard Grindelwald and increasing tensions between the social classes resulted in the expulsion of any non-pureblooded students. Now, known Muggleborns and halfbloods are no longer accepted, and the school is known for pureblooded wizards, study of Dark Arts, rigid social classes, and tradition. Students that graduate from Durmstrang are the most talented, the strongest, the brightest, and the best. Stakes are high, and not all students will succeed. Some may never make it to graduation. Mundus District, located in the city of London.....Ontario.
Odd and strange things have been happening in the district. Its been receiving new tennents...they just don't know it yet.
All over the world, people have been falling asleep in their homes, only to wake up in a new apartment, on a street they don't recognize.
No one seems to know why, but who would really care? London is a wonderful place, just off of Lake Huron. The rooms have everything they need, and the city is full of fun and interesting things to do.
