~strings
there are just too many hp games out there that die because of inactivity. why do they go inactive? maybe because they lack freedom, plotting, or the boy who lived. in short, strings is a different kind of hp game. we are epilogue, but we don't have a strict policy as to following canon. talk to us! we're very reasonable people.
over the years, most of us have grown to love our characters, no matter who you play. strings has a variety of characters, all of whom are the babies of our babies. if you loved playing pansy parkinson, how about giving amelia flint, her daughter a chance? michael corner? mike's got three boys, for you! so many characters have been pigeon-holded (good guy, bad guy) in the hp rp world and strings wants to break free from this. do what you want with your own character.
the game is called strings because somehow or another, everyone is connected in the world. it might take 26 different degrees of connections, but a always goes to z. the game is relationship centered. there are no dark plot lines that cause every other person to die or anything like that. we're here for development and there is no better way to get into your character's head than to play them!
various elements have been changed. if you are a die-hard canon fan, this game might not be for you. we didn't like rowling's epilogue. sorry, loves!characters ♦ families ♦ visuals ♦ pbs ♦ application

The Tank has become Los Angeles' most popular hot spot for all classes (other than the lowliest of scum, of course), and not for the reasons you'd imagine. Sure, the drinks are the best in the city, and the dancers - both male and female - are first class. The DJs are the country's best and they spin only good stuff. The atmosphere is sexually-charged, since that tends to feel good, and as far as sexuality is concerned, there's nothing to hide yourself from at The Tank, either. Anything goes. Nobody cares who you are or what you like to do or with whom. You can dance, you can smoke, you can indulge in your little "habits" and fetishes. You can pretty much do whatever you want at The Tank (the phrase isn't 'getting tanked at The Tank for no reason, after all). You can mingle and rub elbows with some of the most famous people around or you can let yourself feel like you're just one of the crowd. The Tank can be all of that... and if you have the money, it can be a lot more, too. THIS IS AN ADULT-ONLY, EXTREME ROLEPLAY |
- Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! We're Currently Looking for: CAPTAIN JOHN, TOSHIKO, people for the Torchwood Teams, Civilians, Aliens, Bad Guys, other Canon characters and more! |
It's one of those in-between places; a place that hides deep in the cracks, in the fissures between worlds and times, without ever really being a part of one or the other. You can't find it on purpose, but when you need it (even if you don't realise it at the time), you're bound to end up at its door sooner or later. It's a refuge, of sorts - if only for a time. It's a place for the young. The Inbetween Place is a brand-new panfandom game with a unique spin. Set in an inn suspended between worlds, a place that - like Narnia - only the young can find, the game is made up entirely of characters aged eighteen and under. Players may choose characters who are children in canon, or bring in canonly older characters from a point in their childhood, allowing you to explore old favourites from a distinctly different angle. |
What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans, and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty and democracy? -- Gandhi The world is not what it once was; though, it is trying desperately to get back to that place. Lord Voldemort has been banished for nearly a decade, but all has not been calm. A new bad boy rose through the ranks to try to accomplish a political take over that would eradicate the Wizarding World of the Mugglebornes. That was nearly a year ago. As of last summer (mid-July 2003), the Ministry of Magic is back to normal and the new generation has climbed the hierarchy to hold prominent positions in the Ministry of Magic. Death Eaters who can be linked to their crimes are in Azkaban or on the run. While the Order of the Phoenix (directed by Harry Potter) is still technically an organization, it is all but useless now. The members are too preoccupied with their families and jobs. Everything is becoming normal again. How long can that last? How long can Harry Potter's generation muddle through the world without complete chaos following them? What new connections will be made now that not everyone is preparing for a war? after_hogwarts_ ;; a HP RPG focusing primarily on characters and their lives. HERMIONE GRANGER, DRACO MALFOY, former Hufflepuffs, former Ravenclaws, former Slytherins, former Gryffindors. |
Welcome to Lost City Found, a multifandom RPG set within Stargate's Lost City of Atlantis, deep in the Pegasus Galaxy. From inside this massive, abandoned alien city, an international expedition comprised of Earth's best and brightest seeks out new technology to defend their world, explores new planets, encounters alien civilizations and struggles to stave off the looming threat of the sinister Wraith. Players are invited to introduce both original and canon characters into the chaotic world of Stargate Atlantis - perhaps as personnel recruited into the Atlantis expedition, perhaps as strangers who stumbled upon the city entirely by accident (intergalactic portals, freak AU mirrors, it's all basically canon by this point) - and join in the fight to save Earth from destruction... give or take a little crack along the way. |

Located just four miles out of Napa, California, The Sutton Academy has become the place for the rich (and sometimes famous) to send their children. Boys and girls come from all over the country (and in a few cases, the world), to receive a first rate education. At least, that's what the brochures say. The truth is, The Sutton Academy has become more of a 24-7 babysitter for rich kids rather than a school. The price tag is high, but it's a rarity that kids fail out, or get kicked out of Sutton, something their parents know when they sign their checks each year. |
Regaling is a cursed kingdom. Inside, there are castles towering to the sky, enchanted forests, and a host of magical creatures, but despite all of that, the kingdom is still cursed. Not just the kingdom as a whole; every single inhabitant of Regaling is born with their own curse. Some are meant to be broken, others will remain unbreakable. Regaling is one giant fairy tale. Your character will be the hero of their story, a victim in another, a love interest in the next, and maybe a villain in all the rest. Regaling is an AU multi-fandom, ani-manga, book/movie, and video game role play with a heavy importance on character development and humor with hi-jinks!!1! versus a complicated plot. The game is set up in a loose way in the hopes that characters will be able to make the game develop without having very much set in stone. It is designed in the form of a kingdom of fairy tales, with each character assuming a role in their own story and inevitably affecting the other stories around them. The Kingdom of Regaling itself is under a curse that includes curse days, during which the majority of Regaling's inhabitants will suffer from the same basic curse (though on some curse days, players can choose if they want their characters to participate or not). It could, for example, be a day when everyone switches curses, or maybe forgets about the person they hold the most important to them. However, on the normal days (and I'm using "normal" lightly here~) each character must live with their own curse. As part of Regaling's curse, each person who enters the Kingdom of Regaling, be it by birth or travel, will have a curse placed upon them. The curse is theirs alone and, if they are lucky enough, they will find a way to break it... × Since we've moved here from Greatest Journal we haven't had many members. But we're looking for more and there are plenty of characters to be taken. :]~ Though each character has to have a PB, which the mod can help with choosing one for you if you'd like. That includes curses if you have trouble deciding on one for your character/s. OTHER INFO HERE |
