Ad community for RPGs

Join us in our celebration. We've recently moved to CommieJournal and started over as a canon-compliant game. You have the chance to play important characters with no additional backstory, like with brand-new games, but you also have the security of a long-running game with committed, experienced mods.

Oracle takes place in the year 2000, just a year and a half after Voldemort's defeat. We know what the future has in store for our characters in this canon-compliant game. The rocky road they'll take to that future is the real story and that's entirely up to you.

In addition to the characters on the left, we're also looking for the Patil twins, Molly, Bill and Charlie Weasley, Zacharias Smith, Gregory Goyle, Cho Chang and Hannah Abbot. We also want older adults, former Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws and Ministry personnel. Check the character and PB availability lists for taken characters.

what we're about. this is an rpg for original characters of all ages over 18. we don't require AIM, we don't have a lot of sub-communities, and we focus more on character development than who's dating who or who's playing which PB. we love to think outside the box, stretch the limits of our writing and try new things. our characters are a diverse group written by some of the most amazing and talented roleplayers the internet has to offer. we love new people, and though our wanted list doesn't appear very long at times, we would truly love to have any PB that has not already been taken - from Broadway to the music world to independent films and sit-coms, we have PBs from every imaginable form of media and will continue to accept them into the community.

why we're different. this game has a lot of variety in terms of setting. originally, the entire game took place on a cruise ship, which traveled the world and visited different ports of call, everywhere from africa to alaska and back again. this month, however, we are opening a second threading community which will be set in the cruise line's corporate office - now you can travel the world with some of your characters and remain on land in ft. lauderdale florida with the others. we love quirky and off-the-wall characters as well as serious and dramatic ones, and your PB doesn't matter nearly as much as your character and the relationships he or she establishes.

when we'll add you. adds for the ship most likely won't take place until thursday, but we are currently recruiting for our corporate branch and those characters will be added as soon as we have 10 accepted corporate applications. though we love to add new people to the ship, we are really looking to get the corporate side of the game off the ground, and if you think you might be interested, we encourage you to really consider a corporate character as your first addition to the game. (but we won't turn you away if your character absolutely insists that he or she work on the ship!)

how to apply. first check here to make sure your desired PB is available. after that, select a job and place a hold here. finally, read the rules and faq and then fill out the application. you will get a response to your application within 24 hours. other information, including cabin assignments, character birthdays, and a layout of the ship are also available in the mod journal.
