The date is January 25th, 2007.
A lot has changed since the 1930’s, when the Cosa Nostra’s power was first widely realised in the corrupted wonderland that is New York City. The Lucchese family were recognised as one of the dominating empires in organized crime— one of the original Five Families— and as years passed, their empire only grew and grew. Peace was temporary. The Italian Mafia became disturbed by news of a new force in Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach soon enough; lead by the children of Russian immigrants. None of the families were concerned— unfortunately, by the time they realised the true size of the Russian faction, the harm had already been done. The Italian Mafia began to scatter, family by family, and now all that remains in the glamorous and often seedy New York City is the last-standing Luccheses, who refuse to surrender their hold on the capital without a full-blown WAR.
Mafiusi is a newborn game proudly inspired by a number of mafia classics and focuses on interwoven storylines, intrigue, manipulation, personal/business relationships, CONFLICT, family dynamics, and all the other ranges of sometimes-light and sometimes-dark interactions within a group of multi-dimensional characters. We have innocent children of Dons, devout Catholic button-men, bitter femme fatales and more all for the picking. Crack-lovers need not apply; we like detailed writers who make characters worth developing with, and don't worry about longevity, because we plan on chugging for a long time! COME AND START PLAYING IMMEDIATELY.

 Ten years have passed since Westley triumphed over Prince Humperdinck. Ten years since Inigo extracted his revenge on Count Rugen. And since then, life has returned to normal - or as normal as it could be. Humperdinck’s search for Buttercup and Westley never ceased over the years, nor had his attempts to keep the hostility going between Florin and Guilder, and now rumor has it that Westley and Buttercup have returned. Dark Dissension is a slightly AU post-Hogwarts game set in 2005. Conflict is brewing again.
-DH Compliant, but not epilogue compliant.
-18+ game.
-Slash/Het friendly.
-NC-17 for themes, subject matter, and violence predominantly.
-Plot & Character based (i.e. smut is NOT a mainstay of play, and is discouraged).
-Mods are friendly and active players.
-We want people who like to play and who play things true to their character (no metagaming).
-We love people willing to cause some IC drama and get messed up!
-OOC Drama will not be tolerated.

 - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! However famous, the owners insist artists "pay their dues" by working as underlings in the offices and playing music nightly. It brokers much touring money with big promoters and boasts professional p.r. but getting the word out? That's the artist's job.
Slack on your job and you're likely to end up low on the bill. Get caught with your pants down? The world will know. At Metro, you're yourself. And you're more. Your reputation is their reputation. So serve it well.
Of course, this is not all doom and gloom. The close relationship of diverse artists is something to be glad of. Everyone is a gold mine. No one is an idiot. There's love. There's hate. Lust. Betrayal. Intrigue. Sales.

| The Order of the Phoenix has spent years fighting against Voldemort, his Death Eaters and the very idea of Pureblood supremacy. Many people on both sides of this battle have given their lives for what they truly believed in and in the spring of 1998 the Wizarding world thought that they had received the final answer to the struggle between equality and supremacy. Harry Potter, surrounded by those who believed in him, defeated He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for the final time. The wizarding world rejoiced as Voldemort's dark shadow was removed from their homes and communities and they were able to rebuild the lives that they had once had. Now, as the wizarding world enters the year 2003, they find themselves facing danger from the very people many of them fought so hard to protect. The barrier between the Wizarding and Muggle world is deteriorating. Is there a new group of Death Eaters out there? Is it a remainder of Voldemort's plans? Rumours and speculation run rampid as the Ministry tries to determine the cause. As more and more Muggles stumble across the magical world and it's people, violence and hatred cross barriers, leaving Witches and Wizards every where wondering if maybe Voldemort had been right after all. Now, as a new year dawns, Death Eaters and Order members will have to come together to fight off this new threat. Will old grievances get in the way and tear apart old wounds? | WIZANGSTsnoggers is a game focusing on the emotional and physical relationships in the harry potter universe. teenage angst and drama has filled the school with personalities that range from very nice, to very trouble making. kids have nothing to do but concentrate on school and their social life. the war is over, voldemort is dead but death eaters and his supporters are still around and on the run. the game is set in the trio's seventh year in school. we require the canon personalities and relationships to stay canon. the game is focusing on the school life and relationships put on the harry potter characters. we like detailed writers even if it's a shippy game. the year is 1997 and the game will start on the 2nd of september when classes are getting started. all characters deceased from deathly hallows are void and all the characters are up for grabs. this game is MOSTLY AU. it's the trio's 7th year! you can play students, teachers, alumni or whatever you want. Incorporate the older alumni into the school however you want, or you can play them out of the school. the game will start on the 2nd of September when classes are getting started. yes, we have rules! canon peronalities and relationships are required. while it's a smut game with some crack value, we want THAT canon touch. slash is now allowed, but will be severely monitored and limited. "The Rising." That's how it came to be known eventually, the day the dead began to rise from their graves and walk once more.
It began innocently enough. Just a handful of cases located randomly across the country, of the recently deceased coming back to life. At first it was blamed on human error, the doctors must have made a mistake, what other explanation could there be? But it wasn't a mistake and it soon became clear that despite the fact that they were walking around, the recently deceased were still just that... deceased.
Essentially harmless if somewhat disturbing to see, but with no real sentience and no other signs of life to speak of the walking dead (now known as "The Risen") were placed in quarantine and subjected to procedure after procedure from teams of doctors and scientists determined to find an explanation for the phenomena. No explanation was ever found and the number of walking dead slowly increased.
Less than one month after the first reported case, the disease mutated.
A careless lab technician approaching the end of his shift and thinking more about his plans for the evening than of safety was accidentally bitten while taking a saliva sample from one of the risen. Afraid of being quarantined himself he hid his injury from his superiors and went home. He should have known something was wrong when he started feeling dizzy but he told himself he was just overworked and that he just needed to relax. He thought he'd be fine by morning. He was wrong.
By morning he was dead. Walking dead but different from the others. Self aware, though only minimally, he was governed by a hunger that could only be sated by the taste of human flesh. He attacked everyone he saw, his girlfriend, his neighbours, the mail man, the bus driver, taking a bite from each of them before being fought off. He was apprehended of course and eventually subdued but not before managing to inflict bites on several of the arresting officers.
Within 24 hours everyone who had been bitten had also become walking dead, consumed with the same hunger for flesh, and in little more than a week, the whole town had been infected. With no one left to even try and contain the contagion, it spread quickly to the next town and then the next, spreading right across the country and then the globe like a wild fire and in just a few weeks the number of walking dead was equal to the number of living... and rising.
That was a year ago. All that remains of humanity now are the small and remote pockets of survivors that live cut off from the rest of the world in secured compounds, ever watchful of the walking dead that surround them on all sides and hoping desperately that the nightmare will eventually end.
This is the story of one such group of survivors.

This an m-preg community, meaning no females are allowed. A plague was enforced by a company. 'If you got the money honey we have your disease'. What if this deathly illness really wasn't a something the world created but instead the parents of our characters went to this company to get what they needed whether it be love, fame, or fortune. However, with their curse, potion or disease, they hurt their children in the process.'If you want it you're gonna bleed, but it's the price you pay' Instead of just the first born being affected, all children who were the offspring of these parents who went to the company were. The children of the parents who didn't go to the company were not affected.
This change would kill all daughters either way, but eventually because of the animosity, and the government thinking it was a plague, their vaccine killed many, leading to the death of the rest of the women because it didn't react well with them. Some Men Die, but others are created as Breeders or stay as Non-Breeders.
Government engineered ‘a Pairing up’ amendment (breeder/non-breeder):
Registration is required so it's known they're a couple legally.
Any non-breeders that are sterile must be cleared by a doctor and Moderators.
Sterile Non-breeders may be paired together if moderators approve.
Any Non-sterile Breeders may be paired with a breeder, must be documented by doctor and approves by Moderators.
Adoptions may be available upon request, but ONLY sterile non-breeder couples get first priority. Also Must be approved by Moderators.
Definitions:
Breeder: Able to carry offspring, they have been changed internally to have a uterus, outer appearances are up to the breeders themselves. They will all still be men with minor differences. They are most commonly sterile, but their are rare occurrences. These occurrences must be discussed with the moderators for permission. Their Sperm is sterile, but not their uterus.
Non-Breeder: Not Able to carry offspring, but able to reproduce as usual. Nothing has changed, they are still men, some are considered sterile because of the vaccine, but most are not. It's a 10% chance they're sterile, but this is up to the character and the moderators.
Once we have at least 10 people on hold or 5 applications we will open.

| Roland Park is the first planned "suburban" community in North America. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. It was created early in the 20th century as an upper-class streetcar suburb. It is the site of several elite private schools including Gilman School & Roland Park Country School. Tree-lined streets, old mansions, and manicured lawns make this area highly desirable, and therefore highly expensive. This community is about the lives of the students that attend Roland Park Country School (an all-girls school) and Gilman School (an all-boys school) that are just across the street from one another. | Nearly spring and where is Harry Potter? Hogwarts keeps their ear out for any news while they deal with the horror of Snape and the Carrows. Freedoms they took for granted are stolen from them and many friends are even missing because of their blood status. The only ones getting a break are the Purebloods that get a kick out of torture and pain. Without the Trio, the small amount of D.A.s left in school try with almost no effect to stop the terror destroying their school and with what secrecy they can afford, they recruit new members as much as humanly possible during the small amounts of socialization allowed by their new Headmaster along with covertly spreading propaganda, including painting messages on the wall. Those outside lucky enough to be picked up by the Order are moved to there own personal prison stuck deep in Muggle London being taught and protected by Graduates and Order members. The ministry has been infiltrated. Slowly the corruption is being spread to every nook and cranny of Magical establishments. Not one single person is safe, not even Purebloods. How long can the students and Order hold off before completely being taken over by the evil that runs among them? |
