PREAMBLE: Ten years after the horrific fall and subsequent death of Lord Voldemort, the Wizarding world is flourishing. With the newly canonized Harry Potter still ceaselessly hailed as a hero of war, and each suspected Death Eater having long since undergone extreme interrogation and trial, the imminent threat of Darkness has been seemingly extinguished. These are the golden years, a time of peace and alliance between all wizard kind. A time of commercial prosperity and thriving commerce, that is largely due to the steadfast leadership of the reigning Minister for Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. But perhaps things are too quiet, too tranquil. Lucius Malfoy, now quickly aging and in somewhat ill health, has paid his theoretical debt to society, and has personally sworn his allegiance to the Ministry and all magical beings within the United Kingdom. Upon his early release from Azkaban, Lucius lost no time in restoring honor to his family name. Credited with creating a great many charitable foundations that he sponsors and funds at his own expense, Lucius is regularly seen in the children’s ward of St. Mungo’s hospital, visiting with the ailing and delivering posh gifts. Indeed, even Narcissa Malfoy has become a frequent public figure of benevolence; often holding prestigious, grandiose Balls and Masquerades at the benefit of her husband’s numerous aid organizations. More quietly, the Malfoy family has instituted another type of establishment. A joint stock company known simply as the “Toujours Pur,” into which many formerly Dark associated families have bought. It is a furtive sort of company that very little is known about, except for the exceedingly public detail that it’s been buying up vast amounts of property and prime real estate. The Toujours Pur own nearly 50% of Diagon Alley, now. They own the illustrious Magisoft Manufacturing Company that has been producing WizPcs, they own flat complexes, they own and monitor the content of the Museum of Sorcery. They are on the very heels of a trade monopoly. And it is at this time that Harry Potter, together with those who are still too wary to accept the retired Death Eaters into society, intends to call for the first meeting that the Order of the Phoenix has seen in nearly eight years.

Game Info: The Middle Path is a game centering around St. Gregory's School. The school is located in the hills of Virginia and was formed by Warren Worthington and Sean Cassidy in 1997. There was never a Xavier's School for the Gifted nor were there ever X-Men. They are, primarily, a school first and foremost with a mutant superhero team being second. The game is based around interpersonal interaction with occasional explosions.

ME AND MY CHARACTER: Hi! I'm Erica and I play Kate Laughton over at Halcyon Halls. She's a relatively new character, a 19 year-old gifted human who has the ability to pick up any weapon and know (without knowing how she knows) how to use it. Her father was an Olympic archer who taught her everything he knew in hopes of further his own career through her. Outside of her abilities, she possesses an amazing skill with a bow and isn't half bad with a sword. She's just moved away from her home in Brighton, England to attend Halcyon and get a better grip on what it means to be a supernaturally gifted human.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: A male character around the same age (a few years older is acceptabled), pb'd by Jonas Armstrong for usage as a childhood friend of Kate's. I forsee a bit of unexplained and unexplored sexual tension between the two, as she's never been allowed to date or have much of a social life. This friend would know how badly her father has treated her and would therefor understand her a bit more than anyone else at the school. His supernatural state is also up for grabs, so he could be anything from a vampire to a were or a nymph, depending on the person interested.

La Vie en Guerre is a lightly supernatural historical RPG set in German Occupied Paris, France. It starts in the late winter of 1940. A puppet government is in control of all of Northern France and administrating most of the southern 'free zone'. Rations are low. Luxuries are unheard of other than cheap booze, free music, or show girls. Many families have been left wondering if their husbands and sons will come home, if they are prisoners of war, or if they are dead. A curfew is strictly enforced.

There seems little reprieve in sight and people are losing hope. Most of the city seems to have just accepted what happened and is doing its best to move on with what is left of their lives. However, there are a few who are starting to talk about fighting back. Whispers of building a resistance have begun to work their way through the shadows and a few rare, heroic people are stepping up to the cause. Whether their efforts will make things worse or better has yet to be seen, but at least it gives some Parisians hope.

Will you be among the Parisians fighting for a better life? Or are you just trying to survive on your own? Have you heard the rumors of the monsters who fought on the side of the Germans and do you fear them all the more for it? Are you a monster yourself? They say that rebuilding is a process filled with hope, sweat, and joy. The hope of a better future, the sweat from your back, and the joy from the promise it brings. Nobody ever mentioned the pain. Nobody ever mentioned the suffering of the stress or the grief that builds every day you enjoy something a loved one can no longer do. That's when the Aftershock of the situation sets in.



On 2 May 1998, the Battle of Hogwarts was fought. Several lives were lost and many more were injured on both sides prior to Harry Potter casting the final death blow against Voldemort. Numerous Death Eaters were captured and sent to Azkaban to await trial, while others managed to escape.

The dust has yet to settle, and everyone is in the process of regrouping to begin what will be the long road to recovery. Several were brought to St. Mungo's to begin the process of healing, their families taking care of them. The ones who could have begun to start cleaning up and rebuilding what had been lost, while some have discussed starting the hunt for the fugitive Death Eaters.

There were many children from both sides of the War who were left orphaned or otherwise abandoned. The Aurors, in conjunction with St. Mungo's, have set up a temporary home for them, hoping to place them with loving families.

There are many questions. Where does the Ministry now stand? Will the remaining Death Eaters regroup and retaliate? Is the Order still strong enough to handle anything that may happen? Is St. Mungo's able to handle the number of casualties? What about those who want to see justice served against those who killed their loved ones, no matter the cost?

Right now, it is two weeks after the Battle. Hogwarts is currently in a state of disrepair, as are the lives of many who fought there. As everyone begins to pick up the pieces after the War, this is where the game starts. Anything could happen as the aftershock settles in.


We are especially looking for:

Lucius, Neville, Ron, Hermione, Daphne, Percy, Molly, Arthur, Order Members, Dumbledore's Army Members, and Death Eaters. Many characters are free!


The game is compliant to Deathly Hallows with a few minor exceptions, and is AU after that. The epilogue will not be followed.
