I've decided to get the field hospital, on the third floor, up and running. If you'd like to volunteer in any capacity, please respond to this message. I'd like all doctors, nurse and other persons with medical knowledge to help. House, that includes you.
Those without medical experience can also volunteer. We can give anyone first aid training and there are many non-medical ways to help. I can offer some examples - Custodians are very important. The health of all patients depends on a sanitary, well-maintained hospital. Physically fit individuals will be needed to transport patients during emergencies. I can demonstrate the best ways to move a patient. Administrators will be needed. Patient records are crucial; I need someone who can maintain a file system without a large computer network. I also need someone with computer skills to find a way to load patient information onto doctors' tablets. I realize entire medical histories may not fit, but if there was a way to discover patient's serious medical conditions, medication allergies, etc, simply by typing their name - it would be very beneficial.
I'd like to know as much as I can about all of your individual medical histories. Please come to the hospital and see myself, Dr. House or another medical staff member.
If you have a small piece of paper, write down your name and any medical information that might be needed in an emergency, such as blood type, allergies and serious medical conditions. Place this paper in your pocket or shoe, any place where it would be on your person at all times. If you came here with a medic alert bracelet or similar object, wear that.
I need to know your blood types and if you'd be willing to donate blood in an emergency. Please be aware that the hospital lacks the means to properly store blood, so any donation would have to be done by direct transfusion and only as a last resort. Please do not offer to donate blood if you have an infectious bloodborne disease.
Lastly, to those of you on supply runs - thank you for the help. Please keep an eye out for any medications and medical supplies.
