Who: Marc Belby and Soledad Capper.
When: Monday 5th August, afternoon.
Where: Bookbindery.
What: Showing Sol around.
Rating/Warnings: SFW.
Status: Complete.
Usually, Marc got to read the manuscript of any project he was considering working on well before he met the author, so that he'd have time to come up with ideas to talk over. In this instance, at least as far as Marc understood, there wasn't a specific manuscript that Soledad Capper was considering having bound, and he was acting more as tour guide, showing her what was possible if, in future, she did want to bind with them. It was a job Marc was well suited for, because he loved Bookbindery, and all its different projects, and he enjoyed sharing that with others. (Even when, incomprehensibly, they didn't always appreciate it.) Marc also remembered Sol from school, though they hadn't kept in much contact after he'd graduated, which helped because it meant he didn't have to worry about feeling shy. Predictably, Marc was late, and had to be reminded by one of the other binders that he was supposed to be meeting someone. Running a hand through his hair, Marc apparated down to the main entrance. Apart from the receptionist, there really weren't any other people, so it was easy to spot Soledad and Marc hurried over. "Hi! I don't know if you remember me, but I'm Marc. I was in Ravenclaw around the same time you were." People did tend to remember Marc, if only for being a little odd. "I didn't have the green hair, then," he added, in case that would help Sol place him. "Anyway, they said you wanted to be shown around. Are you an author?" |
