"I hope so," Marc agreed warmly. "I had a good time, once I got used to it all." Marc had certainly had a better time once he graduated, but he hadn't been miserable in his years at school, so he did think there was probably something for most people to enjoy, especially if they liked learning. "Are you going to join any of the clubs? That's how I got to know people outside the boys I shared a room with." It had taken Marc a while to discover the clubs, and he did think that having been made aware of the possibility earlier would've made it easier to find his way. "A lot of people play quidditch, obviously, I was never very interested in that."
Marc could tell Sol wasn't greatly thrilled with the idea of work as a consolation, and he could understand that, he just wasn't really sure what else to say. Instead, he would remember Sol in September, and reach out to her then to see if there was anything he could do to distract her or take her mind off the sudden change in circumstances. "Are you very far along with the book?" he asked.
"Before you publish it?" Marc asked, raising an eyebrow. It wasn't an offer he'd expected, but as he'd already said he would read it once Sol published, he could only assume that was what she meant. "Sure. I might be able to come up with some ideas to make it stand out, especially if it's something new on the market."
