New Veritas is the most densely populated wizarding city in the United Kingdom. Located one hour outisde of London, it is magically protected and makes for a fast commute for the many wizards and witches who work in downtown London. The Original Veritas was destroyed in the Troll war of 1415, with New Veritas founded shortly after. The city has developed greatly since Norman times. Medieval underground caves and tunnels served as storage and shelter during the war against Grindlewald, afterwhich New Veritas became the number one location for war weary magical folk to settle. The North end is home to the elite of pureblood society, with sprawling mansions and land masses. The south on the other hand is home to the suburbs with homes within the reach of all middle class citizens. Overall, New Veritas is the place of dreams. Well, except for the West end ... well ... it's best not to speculate... |
