Corner of Hillborn Way and Threehorn Lane - tag to Adrian
Who Christopher, Sally-Anne, Adrian
Where In your face
When Holy backdated Batman. @2am
What The return of Sally-Anne, badassery, and more.

Christopher looked like an alley-way drug dealer. Nobody had told him as such, but he suspected it nevertheless, having already two twitchy blokes come up to him and ask if he was carrying. Although they could not really be blamed; Christopher, at this point, was not presented at his best since he got no sleep last night and spent the entire morning pacing around his flat. Actually, he slept very little since Sally-Anne's kidnapping, for obvious reasons, but also because, as Christopher discovered, sleep just came easier with the comforting body heat of other than his in the bed. But mostly, Christopher had been a cranky bastard for the past days, knowing that there was somebody out there with a superiority complex going out of his or her way to make life harder for him.

The night was slightly warm. The street was quiet, there were not that many residents in his area, mostly abandoned, run-down looking buildings that are in dire need of a good fixing. Christopher leaned against one of the walls, and watched as nothing went by.

Adrian was exceedingly nervous and had taken far more precautions about approaching Christopher. He considered this just short of suicide, but his pride had stopped him from asking one of the lesser Renegades along.

He'd arrived even earlier than Christopher, but not by much. A cloaking spell over him and Sally Anne, Adrian waited a bit longer than necessary. He knew Christopher well enough to not worry about him contacting authorities, but Adrian couldn't be too cautious. And, to be honest, he was a little terrified.

A cool wind blew around him and he finally decided to reveal himself to his former Housemate. He finished the spell and slowly began walking towards Christopher. He had his hood up, obscuring even the mask he wore, and Sally Anne followed him in a dream like daze. She was more like a sleep-walker, able to function at a very basic level. She was merely drugged, but there was no point in fixing her until Adrian was ready to leave.

He stopped a few meters from Christopher. "She's unharmed."

The footsteps approaching Christopher from behind were different from the awkward shuffles of the drug addicts and the slow drag of the homeless. From the corner of his eyes, despite the inky darkness that surrounded them, save for the dim shine of a nearby lamp, Christopher could see the outlines of two dark figures moving toward him. Although he had ran every possible scenarios through his head in preparation, Christopher still could not anticipate the surge of anger that seized him. The former Slytherin turned toward the speaker, and even in the murky lighting, Christopher could see that there was something wrong with Sally-Anne. Maybe it was the dirt on her usually flawless skin, or maybe it was the unseeing, glazed expression that she wore, but Christopher found himself surging forward suddenly, grabbing the cloaked man by his collar, by his neck, and shoved him roughly against the brick wall.

Normally, Christopher would not even think about doing something like this in front of Sally-Anne, showing her what a monster her husband can be. Right now, however, Christopher did not care. All he wanted was this man in front of him to suffer, to scream, to bleed until Christopher felt alright again. "What the fuck did you do to my wife?" He snarled, baring his fangs.

[ooc: I hope I'm not mistaking, but I think that you said it was alright if Christopher roughed Adrian up a little. How far do you want Christopher to take this?]

((OOC: Oh yeah, rough him up hard core. Since we never really resolved that one thread, feel free to attempt to rip off his mask, anything. Hell, try it and if I like it, I'll let almost any attempts go through))

Adrian should have seen it coming. But he didn't. His head banged painfully against the brick wall and he momentarily saw spots. He blinked rapidly and fought the urge to go for his wand. Adrian might feel like a thug most of the time but there was no doubt Christopher was, and had always been, bigger than Adrian.

"I told you, she's fine," Adrian said through gritted teeth, his head throbbing painfully, the sharp brick piercing his robes. "But if you fuck with me, you fuck with her. Just look at her Warrington, think you can fix her without me?" He shifted a bit in the other man's grasp, not entirely struggling, but a little wary nevertheless. "Now get the fuck off of me."

"Anybody who fucks with my wife, they fuck with me," Christopher ignored the other man's threat, and shoved again, lifting the other's mass until he was a good inch off the ground. The thing was that Christopher did not look particularly strong, but once upon a time, he trained because he thought he had a real chance to getting into professional quidditch. Even though that thought was far behind him now, working out had become a part of his daily routine, and Christopher was densely built.

Christopher knew that he was in dangerous grounds now, he may be the one with the upper-hand now, but that did not mean he'll stay in power. The other man was a death eater, and probably have no qualms about taking another's life, right there. Christopher was fully aware of the man's hands, and he is going to have to react if this one goes for his wand. "I'm done dealing with you assholes," he cast a quick glance toward Sally-Anne, "You're going to fix her up right now or I start breaking bones." And Christopher had broken bones for less.

[ooc: Alright, awesome. How much is Adrian going to rough up Christopher? I just want to make sure because I have a thread right now running with Parvati and any injuries Christopher may or may not have sustained should be consistent. I'm anal.]

((OCO: I doubt it'll come to more than physical blows. Adrian thinks with his fists before his wand and I'm assuming Christopher is the same.))

Now Adrian was simply mad. He had nothing against Sally Anne and he sure as shit considered Christopher a friend, but that didn't mean he was about to allow the other wizard to walk all over him. They'd played quidditch together after all and Adrian wasn't afraid of a little fighting.

"What? You think if you hurt me that's that? You so much as put a scratch on me and the next time we get our hands on your little bitch, we'll do so much worse to her." He laughed and would have spit without the mask. "Now I'll tell you again, get the fuck off of me. We had a bargain and I'm not going back on it unless you do."

Much to his own disgust, Christopher found that he was actually itching for a fight. The last time he threw a punch more than a year ago, and he missed the messy bar brawls and the cracking of bones under his fists. While Christopher would love nothing better than to stomp on the man's face with the mask driving into his flesh, a part of him knew that he had to get Sally-Anne out of here. Her safety came before his, and Christopher would never forgive himself if she got hurt.

Raspy laughter bubbled up from within Christopher, and it rang through the empty alley-way with a touch of hysterics. If these pseudo-deatheaters carried any of the Slytherin mentality, that threat was probably as empty as an unused flower pot. "Actually, I do think I hurt you and that's that," Christopher gave one last particular hard shove and lets go, letting gravity do its bidding on the other's weight, "Because I don't think you matter all that much."

Adrian stumbled but managed to right himself without falling, however sloppily. Point for him. This was not even remotely the way the rest of the drop offs had gone and Adrian could feel heat rising to his face. The man had done well to insult his pride and were Sally Anne any other witch, Adrian might have been tempted to hurt her to show he meant business. As it was he was hampered by some ridiculous sense of loyalty.

But Christopher's last statement pushed Adrian over the edge. No he wasn't important, but no one other than Rodolphus could get away with saying such. He sneered.

"Aye? And who are you? Unemployed? I know your dirty little secret, Warrington. Does dear Sally Anne know? I'd say this makes you a rather lacking husband."

Seizing the chance while the masked man was off balance, Christopher took Sally-Anne by the wrist and pulled her gently behind him, and hopefully out of harm's way. At the Deatheater's comment, Christopher could not help but instinctively tighten protectively his grasp on his wife's arm. It was ironic that this man would be lecturing Christopher on anything that was lacking- and he found this incredibly insulting. Like being told that murder was bad by a rapist. Shaking his head, Christopher let out a soft laugh, and made a move to turn away-

And grabbed the Deatheater by the hem of his cloak, pulling him down so that his stomach was in line with Christopher's kneecap.

Adrian had hoped for, and possibly even expected, such a reaction and so was not wholly unprepared for Christopher's sudden attack. He managed to wrench his body sideways and although he avoided the hit, he heard the fabric of his robe tear. He cursed silently and scuttled sideways, leaving a bit of fabric in Christopher's clenched fist.

Having regained his own balance he scowled. "You'll pay for that!" and lashed out with a fist towards the other wizard's face.

In a split second, Christopher decided on a few facts: he probably outweighed the Deatheater, not by much, but enough to have an advantage. But, judging by the way he moved away from Christopher's initial attack, the cloaked man might be more agile than Christopher. That may or may not be a problem. Although the man moved like he had experience in hand to hand combat, the experience probably came out of necessity.

Christopher took a step back, because the punch was thrown straight toward his face, he saw it coming a mile away. Grabbing the other's sleeve, and wrapping a huge hand around the arm tightly, Christopher pulled the man toward the wall, trying to use his weight and momentum against him.

That move worked perfectly, and Adrian swung into the wall, crashing painfully. He wasn't a fighter, not against his friend and the jarring pain brought this point him. Besides, he preferred an unfair advantage and this was not presently the case.

"Stop, Warrington, stop," Adrian gasped as he shook his head to clear his vision. "Salazar, cut it out." He drew his wand a little shakily, but didn't point it at the other wizard. "She's back, just go home."

Christopher stopped, blinking blankly at the Deatheater, and realizing suddenly that he had a two by four in his hand, and its sharp edges were digging to his palm. Taking in a deep breath, Christopher forced himself to come back and lets go of the piece of wood, and it fell onto the pavement with a loud crack. It would have so much easier for him to just continue with his blind rage, but instead, Christopher swallowed it and it tasted bitter and burned his tongue.

"You know what, go back to your whatever, and tell him," he took Sally-Anne's hand into his, and gave it a gentle squeeze, "That the fight is with me."

Adrian shook his head slightly as the board fell to the ground and he breathed a quiet sigh of relief.

"You'll get no argument from me," he commented before he could stop himself. "Fuck it." He put a small vial on a wooden crate conveniently discarded half way between the two men. "Give this to her when you get home. She'll fall asleep for a while but it'll clear her of the potions in her system."

And he disapparated with a sharp crack.
