There's a lovely apple tree up on the rooftop gardens at the apartments! I'm up there just about every other day, so I know it's new--and it's fully grown! Of course, someone could have planted a sapling and used magic to grow it so quickly, in which case I'm very jealous because there are quite a few flowers I'd like to speed up so I can see them in bloom. But the waiting is nice as well, and I like a surprise every now and then.

It's quite a sweet tree and such a bright addition! I may prune it back a bit so it has a better chance in spring, but if it's helped with magic, I suppose that may not be much of an issue.

And if you're walking the Skyhold gardens, please be careful! I think I have all of the plants cataloged with what they are, but there are still a few I'm not certain of, and certainly a few that don't enjoy being touched at all and will respond rather harshly.

Well I know very little about flowers, so maybe we can trade information. Gilbert and I grew potatoes and carrots at home mostly, besides the orchard. A few grains too.

I'd like that! I've always been intimidated by the idea of growing crops, and we never truly had the land for it. Flowers are beautiful, but not always practical. And sometimes they're best when you leave them alone to their own devices.

I had no idea what I was doing at first! So trust me, I understand that intimidation. And it was a lot more work than I expected trying to get a decent harvest. I might prefer sticking to sticking to apple trees and growing some flowers of my own, honestly.

You can have space in the rooftop garden, if you'd like! I've tried to care of it, but it isn't mine, it belongs to the community, so anyone can come along and plant. I'm happy to help. I was going to say that any additional apple trees may need a new spot because of how deep the roots would go...but I'm not entirely certain how this one has grown, so I shouldn't assume!

That's very kind, thank you. I suppose I could maybe grow a small vegetable patch up there. But at the very least, I'd like to take care of the tree. I miss the orchard. And I'm curious how the magic here might change things if we do get our farm back.
