There's a lovely apple tree up on the rooftop gardens at the apartments! I'm up there just about every other day, so I know it's new--and it's fully grown! Of course, someone could have planted a sapling and used magic to grow it so quickly, in which case I'm very jealous because there are quite a few flowers I'd like to speed up so I can see them in bloom. But the waiting is nice as well, and I like a surprise every now and then.

It's quite a sweet tree and such a bright addition! I may prune it back a bit so it has a better chance in spring, but if it's helped with magic, I suppose that may not be much of an issue.

And if you're walking the Skyhold gardens, please be careful! I think I have all of the plants cataloged with what they are, but there are still a few I'm not certain of, and certainly a few that don't enjoy being touched at all and will respond rather harshly.

Oh! Well, there's one that is a leafy plant, but the ends of the leaves are jagged and pointy. Dorian's said it's called Rashvine and if you touch it, you'll see why! And there's a lotus that causes hallucinations, but it has to be the right color, and these aren't in bloom yet so I'm not quite sure.

Ah okay. Maybe we could put up little warning signs, just to be safe.

Yes! That's the plan, at least. Along with warnings not to eat anything either. Not that I think many people would, of course, but you never know, better to stay safe than sorry! Parties and such are held there, and that's lovely, but it does mean that there's chance for people to wander off.

Absolutely better safe than sorry. I'm sure there are plenty of plants up there that are meant for eating.

Some! The ones at Skyhold are mostly for appearance or for use--there are a some you can grind down and use as a salve, for example, but some do need to be ingested to get the benefits. And then there are some that only bloom under very specific circumstances and I'm determined to get them right!
