Back in our universe, River and I were regularly invited by the Fish people of Atlantis to their annual parties. It was great, until one year they decided to make us their main course by tying us up, dipping us in guacamole, and hanging us over a fire pit.

Just saying. Have fun, but stay on guard.

You mean, did we do something that made them want to eat us? Not that we were aware of. I like wrote, we'd been to their parties before without a problem, and no evidence of eating anything but seaweed and smaller fish before.

Magic is a lazy person's way to explain away phenomenon instead of breaking it down into scientific terms. An Earth writer put it this way, 'Any technology, no matter how primitive, is magic to those who don't understand it'

I've seen a lot of things, from so called gods to demons, to ghosts, and they could all be explained in scientific terms. People are just too stubborn to admit that, and they want it to stay all mysterious and clever, and oooooo I can do something you can't.

But sure, I'll I'd love to watch you perform your kind of magic. Because then I can show you what I mean.
