It's been "exactly one whole ass month" (in my wife's words), and today is the day we get to celebrate our sweet baby, Finn, turning ONE YEAR OLD!


Everyone should have gotten their invites for the party on Darla today, but anyone can feel free to stop by! We're running from noon to four o'clock, and there'll be lunch, cake, and a lot of fun but safe activities - including a baby-sized bounce house, a ball pit, and a seriously insane amount of bubbles. πŸ«§πŸ«§πŸ«§πŸ€—

I was going to attempt to post a grandma gif but flattering grandma gifs don't exist, alas.

This is the most precious little selfie. Happy birthday to my first grandchild (but not my favorite as I will love all my grandchildren equally, I'm putting that out there right now and forevermore, and they will all be my very equal favorites).

I have read that phrase before and used it! Unfortunately, it was around your teenagers, and they roasted me for it.

That is the plan, and I'm ecstatic for Bonehilda being the one making breakfast this morning. We may have to petition Vallo so we can legally keep her.

Don't let that stop you! You have plenty of time now to prepare yourself to roast them back.

I would still prefer she wasn't just a skeleton; it's a little freaky. But I'm getting used to it, and she's been really helpful!

I think the ways of roasting a teenager today are going to be very outdated by the time they hit that age. I'm ready for the "no one talks like that anymore, grandma" comments. You're going to get a variation of that too.

That part's a bit startling, yes. I was having some Skeletor flashbacks but I've also had a fantastic time imagining Skeletor as a maid, and it's been helping me endure.
