Look.

I know there's ways to make this whole fucking paralyzed-by-a-basilisk-shithead thing go away, but I won't pretend I know much about magic to actually know how that shit works, so if anyone can point me in a direction, I would really like to use my arm again. It's kind of dead weight right now, which does mean it's kind of great to swing around as a club when you take down the basilisk-shithead that did it to you in the first place, but my body is enough without pretty sure this is going to get fucking old fucking quick.

Oh and thanks in advance, all that.

Also, people that have the joy of living with me, there's a dead basilisk in our backyard. You're fucking welcome.

Yeah, kind of my forearm. It got me as I was swinging my hammer around toward it, kind of caught me off guard.

They seem to be quite the troublesome beast, I've been hearing more than a few people ending up in trouble. Came across one myself yesterday, but Torgal and I made quick enough work of it at least.

Well on you, then. I feel like they'd be even more rough if they were clustered as a group.

We have a few similar creatures back home, so I have had practice. As well most things do not like fire I've learned over the years. That tends to bring them down fairly quick. This basilisk was no exception.

I believe Atreus down there came across two together, but hopefully that remains their largest grouping.

Fire is outside of my skillset, but you're right that most will fuck right off when it comes at them. Definitely a good thing to have in your arsenal.

Crossing my fingers that I can currently cross on that.

Handy when traipsing through dark places too.

What is your name? So I know who to look for when I get to the village?

I'll bet it is.

Ashton Greymoore. I'm hard to miss, though. Kind of big, green, purple crystals for hair.

I will admit, that is a new one for me. Do the crystals allow to wield magic? I know you said fire is out of your skillset, but something else?

The purple ones don't, that's just me. There's a sort of shimmery white one that actually gives me some weird kind of situational magic.

Interesting. Do you have mother crystals, where you are from?
