Okay, wow, this place is kind of amazing? When I was little, I'd always wanted to live in a castle like a princess, but I never thought I'd actually get to live in a castle. It's a lot draftier than I ever imagined it being. ~~And a little more depressing than I'd pictured. Way better than the Scholo~~

And oh my god, all the shopping down town is amazing. It's been hard not to just spend all this money they gave me when I showed up here on cute clothes! ~~It's been so long since I actually had my choice in~~ And the food! Tell me your favourite cake shops. I have like, four years of pastry eating to catch up on please! I guess I'm going to need to find a job if I want to buy all the cute and tasty stuff I want. ~~I miss mom and dad~~

Also, hi! I'm Chloe! Me and my friend El just got here a few days ago. It's not really [...] where we expected to go, but I can think of way worse places for us to get magically dropped, so it could be worse.

No, I don't think I've ever played that. I've some friends here trying to get me up to speed on all the things there are, but there's a lot. I could probably be here a hundred years and not ever catch up. Is that your favourite game, then?

I can certainly set a couple aside for you, although they're never really finished, being plants. I can show you how to take care of them or visit occasionally to trim them back into the right shape, and so on. Trees can be stubborn about trying to bud in the wrong palces.

I'm pretty good with animals! Not as good as my friend Liu is, and not as good with artifices as my friend Aadhya is, but hopefully she will be!

I don't know if I'd say it's my favourite game, but it's what me and my family always played when we played board games! It's pretty fun, so long as you're winning.

Aw, is it really the wrong places if that's the way it wants to bloom?

	They're the wrong places if you want to store magic in the right way. They've got to fit the right shape. But there's some trees better suited to certain shapes, you just have to convince them to grow the way you want. Whoops, trade tangent, apologies. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Oh, no need to apologize! That's really interesting. It didn't occur to me that the shape of something could affect how much mana it could contain, but that makes a lot of sense. I wonder if that's one of the reasons why different mana crystals can hold different amounts of magic. (Reply to this) (Parent)
