I have spoken with several of you now but had not introduced myself here.

Lan Mandragoran. I am not used to settling in one place for any long amount of time, but the potential to stay here for months, if not years, so I believe settling might be inevitable. I am a Warder in our world, to Moiraine Sedai, who arrived shortly after I did; if I may be of use to your defense teams, I will put my skills to their use.

May I ask how many of you had to adjust to all of this technology? I still find the phone unwieldy and temperamental.

Are you a local or an Outlander, I believe we are called?

Not well. My guardian was not against invoking my responsibilities to keep me in line.

We call your collective group Outlanders, yes. But I'm a local. I only recently joined this network in order to foster relations between my coven and the Outlanders/DOA.

I can't imagine you had many responsibilities as a child?

How is that going? Everyone has seemed peaceful since my arrival.

More than most, my kingdom was overtaken by the Blight when I was very young and I escaped.

Well! My coven tends to be a little standoffish, but with the younger generations have been pushing for change which is why I'm around to liaison with the Outlanders. It's been easier to deal with problems since we've opened up the channels of communications here too.

Oh you're royalty? I'm not completely sure what the Blight is in your world, but I can't imagine it was a great thing. I'm sorry to hear about your kingdom though, it makes sense why you would have more responsibilities than the average child.

I cannot imagine it is an easy thing to adjust to people arriving from worlds unknown, putting more of a strain on resources than one might expect.

I do not think it counts when one's country is all but destroyed. The Blight is a corruption, it's swept through its fair share of our lands.

Honestly, with only a few hundred of you, it hasn't been terrible. Vallo is always...shifting. Making room and resources available as well. And the Outlanders have brought new resources with them, so while the world is changing with your people, it's not for the worst.

Does that mean there is no way of fighting this Blight now?

The world shifting is a new experience for me. Magic is usually not so giving as that where I come from.

It is a corruption of the Dark One, so it can be held back for a time but never infinitely, with more power behind him. We're working on it. Or we were, before ending up here.

It's ramped up in recent years, but I suppose that has to do with this Outlander phenomena.

I'd love to hear more from you and your people, if you ever feel like sharing more. Maybe over tea?
