Pride and Prejudice was first published on January 28th 1813 so it's been over two hundred years of enjoyment that book has brought.

I have to admit I am kind of looking forward to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies being released at the cinema, I'm not sure if that makes me a heathen or not?

I don't think it does.

It never hurts to put a new kind of twist on a classic.

Well, I take that back, it does sometimes hurt, but at least it keeps things interesting.

I admit I hated it with a passion when it was first released but since seeing the trailer for the movie it actually looks quite good.

Yeah sometimes you do wonder what people were thinking but as you say it keeps it interesting. And if it makes somebody read the original who hadn't before then that's a good thing.

I have to admit when I heard such a thing existed I balked a bit myself, but the idea has sort of grown on me. I regret that I have not yet seen the trailer.

This is very true!

You should watch it, it's quite good. Makes me want to watch the film anyway.

:D

If I can find it on Youtube, I think I will.

Do you enjoy the classics as a rule?

I do. I'm studying them along with general literature at Irvine.

((OOC: I'm at work, I'll click the link when I get home))

Well, it certainly delivers on the zombies front, doesn't it?

Oh! How interesting. Do you have a favorite?

[ooc: No worries just thought I would be helpful lol]

Indeed it does. And you know strong kick ass women are never a bad thing.

I'm partial to A Tale of Two Cities and Dickens in general really.

That's very true. There should be more in my opinion.

Oh, I have not read A Tale of Two Cities in quite some time.

I completely agree.

I will always recommend a re-read. Do you have a favourite?

Hm. I would have to think. The first that comes to mind is Moby Dick, although I have to admit the sections dedicated to whaling grew a bit tedious after a while.

I like that book but you're right, I can't say it's one I re-read.

I was hooked by the end though. I would recommend it just for that alone.

It is good don't get me wrong but I'm not sure I could say I was hooked. I would always recommend it though.

Oh my goodness, I just noticed: "hooked"..."whaling", I apologize for the unintended pun.

I remember the ending to be so completely intense. Battling the great white whale while the crew struggles under the weight of their captain's insanity only to be swept up as casualties of it.

I've always been partial to adventure, however. My dreamself is a pirate, so I suppose it's not any wonder.

Wow I am losing my touch I didn't even notice those.

Yeah that's true. The ending is pretty amazing.

Ah a pirate girl, no wonder you like Moby Dick! ;)

That's quite alright, I wasn't even aware I had made a pun until I read what you wrote.

LOL - A pirate's life for me! She's an odd pirate, but it's fun.

I bet it is. I'm a demon hunter but I like the sound of a pirate too.
