Ennis made his way to the town at the foot of the mountain, irritated and annoyed by the inconvenience. He secound guessed himself all the way, thinking he ought to have made Jack find his way to Ennis.
He'd left the relative warmth of his trailer, to go out looking for the immature and irresponsible bastard. He hadn't seen Jack since the summer they'd spent on Brokeback. Ennis had married and had two beautiful baby girls, since then. Never mind that Alma and the girls were nowhere to be found, and never mind that Ennis was just fine with that.
Sure he'd miss them. Junior and Jenny were his children, but he'd never really found his niche with the babies. Junior cried all the time and Jenny did little more than eat and poop. Jack, on the other hand...
No. he wouldn't think about that. He was going to find the man to help him out, make sure he didn't freeze to death, on the side of a mountain. Ennis found his way to the bar in the center of town. If Jack wasn't there, he'd head up the mountain, after he had a few beers in him.
He stepped inside, squinting into the smokey darkness, inhaling the sweet scent of stale beer and peanuts, sweat and cattle. Home, he thought. it felt like coming home, even if he didn't know anyone on the place. His eyes scanned, looking for that one familiar face... |

What: Reuniting and it feels so good
When/Where: Now (night-time in France)/Jack's motel room in [French Town]
Warnings: Yes, definately.
Jack was almost regretting making the post, before he had a night's rest. Even still, he knew what he and Ennis would go through tonight would be nothing like what would happen the next morning, if Ennis found out Jack had the ability to contact him, and didn't. Not to mention, he did miss the man, but he still... felt awkward, about admitting as much.
Once his head hit the pillow, he was halfway to sleep, and if Ennis didn't hurry, he'd have to shake Jack to get him awake. |

Jack was slightly worried, about Ennis' new... transformation. Not about his being a woman- Jack had no problem with the beautiful person he'd become. But Ennis seemed mortified, and that was never good for Jack's well-being. Still, the man-now-woman had relented to let him go see... her, and Jack was going to do his best to make this easier on... her.
Making his way into the ranchhouse and up the stairs, he knocked on the door. "Ennis? You alright?" |

She'd been there a couple of hours. There wasn't a whole lot to what would now be her second job. She got people coffee mostly, refilled coffee and brought and took away the occasional plate. It was dull, slow and dull all over again but it was feeding her and Drew and keeping them in the apartment. So she wasn't going to complain. She took it with stride. Sighing as she saw someone sit out of the corner of her eye she finished totaling a bill and set it in front of it's client, walked over without looking up, dating a new bill.

What: Valentine's Day Visiting
When: Thursday, Feb 14. Duh.
Warnings: Cuteness, I'm sure.
The girls were thrilled to be on their way to visit their valentine; Drew wasn't icky like other boys, he was nice to them and polite, and Papi seemed to like him. Besides, they like new friends, and Drew had ponies!
Hopping right up after the portkey, they shot out to the end of the alley, in search of Drew and his family. Greg lumbered to his feet behind them, knowing it wouldn't do any good to try and get them to stop, instead following them off down the road. |

Warnings: Possibly some sort of cussing? Sad cowboys.
She'd fished out some money to pick up a bottle of firewhisky and then headed over to the ranch, just as she'd promised. Trindle had bundled herself up just in case Ennis decided that he wanted to take a foray out of the house and into the middle of the damned wilderness - it was something she'd do if she were upset. After making sure that she was in her right sorts, she lifted her hand and knocked hard.
Hopefully Ennis hadn't started drinking without her. |

What: Fooling around on the ranch

Where: The...ranch?
Warnings: Cowboys on the ranch? None, really.
Ennis and Jack had seen the animals out to pasture and headed back for some down time at the ranch. Down time turned in to horse play, with the horses out enjoying the early afternoon grazing. Ennis had his flannel shirt off, wearing only a white wife beater and his jeans. His hair was a mess, from his hat and from a flurry of activity, running around with Jack. His hat hung on one of the fence posts, along with his flannel. |

It only took Jack a moment of consideration, before he straightened his hat, gathered his coat around him, and headed out towards the barn where he knew Ennis would be waiting. It was ridiculous, the way seeing Ennis actually say- well, type- those words made his heart skip. He wasn't some fruitcake who fell over himself to get a man to fall in love with him. But this wasn't just 'a man'. This was Ennis. And if he was honest, he'd loved the man for just as long. The words were just a formality. One he really seemed to enjoy.
Working the barn door open, he glanced around, before just leaning himself against the wall to settle in to wait. |

Where: Random bar in Utah
Ennis double checked his appearance, using a pair of grooming scissors to trim the stray hairs at the back of his neck and along his jaw. Satisfied, he decided to wear his favorite white Stetson hat, knowing he wold take it off, because it was disrespectful to wear a hat on a date with a lady. Not that he was going on a date. he didn't even know her name. he'd met her via the message boards, where Jack had posted for help on the ranch. If he felt a little bit guilty aboutt hat, he swallowed it down.
He didn't have much time to waste wallowing, if he wanted to be ontime to meet his new friend. He stroked the dash of his pick up, still adjusting to the modern model, before turning the engine over. Roraing to life, he backed out of the drive and headed down the side of the mountain he called home, into town to find his mystery date. He arrived at the designated meeting point two minutes early, and stood at the front of his truck, leaning against the grill. |

Warnings: Reunion love. Between two cowboys. Y'got a problem with that?
Jack was sitting in the shoddy bar at the outskirts of town, nursing a beer and smoking like a chimney, waiting for Ennis to show up. Ennis. It'd been a dog's age since he'd seen the man- but no more than a day since he'd thought of him. It was hard not to, with no one else for company on his drive this winter. No one to keep him warm at night-
He shoved the thought away- he was in public, for Christ's sake- and took another drink, glancing at the door once again. The bartender scoffed a laugh, which Jack chose to ignore; Ennis would be there. He just had to wait. |
