Who: Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist
What: Rendesvous
When: When Jack arrived
Warnings: Violence, Language, and Sex Likely

Ennis made his way to the town at the foot of the mountain, irritated and annoyed by the inconvenience. He secound guessed himself all the way, thinking he ought to have made Jack find his way to Ennis.

He'd left the relative warmth of his trailer, to go out looking for the immature and irresponsible bastard. He hadn't seen Jack since the summer they'd spent on Brokeback. Ennis had married and had two beautiful baby girls, since then. Never mind that Alma and the girls were nowhere to be found, and never mind that Ennis was just fine with that.

Sure he'd miss them. Junior and Jenny were his children, but he'd never really found his niche with the babies. Junior cried all the time and Jenny did little more than eat and poop. Jack, on the other hand...

No. he wouldn't think about that. He was going to find the man to help him out, make sure he didn't freeze to death, on the side of a mountain. Ennis found his way to the bar in the center of town. If Jack wasn't there, he'd head up the mountain, after he had a few beers in him.

He stepped inside, squinting into the smokey darkness, inhaling the sweet scent of stale beer and peanuts, sweat and cattle. Home, he thought. it felt like coming home, even if he didn't know anyone on the place. His eyes scanned, looking for that one familiar face...

Of course, in a town that small, it wasn't hard to pick out the one figure without someone to talk to, hunched over the bar with an ornery air around him. There was little else that gave Jack away, having not been paying enough attention to what was going on to hear Ennis walk in.

He was too lost in his own thoughts to give a damn about much more than how he had gotten pitched off the mountain. Must've banged his head pretty hard not to remember the fall. And now, this fancy new technology and strange looking cars. And Ennis being the first one to come get him.

He must really be having some delusion. Still, that wasn't any reason not to enjoy the beer in his hand before he came to.

Ennis' eyes trained in on Jack within seconds. he shouldered his way through a crowd near the door, earing a grunt from an over sized man. Ennis paid him no mind, and ambled his way to the empty seat next to Jack.

He nodded to the bartender, before his attention was on Jack. "If it ain't Jack Fucking Twist."

Jack started with an irritable grumble, before he recognized the voice. Turning, he couldn't help but smile dryly, nodding.

"And the fucking cowboy. How the hell you been, Ennis?" He wanted to get up and hug the man. Kiss him. Shove him against the bar, and-

And it didn't matter anyway, did it? He couldn't. Sobered by the thought, he sighed, settling for an elbow to the man's arm as he took another drink.

Ennis glanced back over his shoulder. "I ain't liking the clausterphobic feel of this place." That was more words strug together than Ennis sometimes said in a day's time. He looked back at Jack, his eyes dark. He wanted the things he saw reflected in Jack's gaze -the kiss, the shove against the wall...

The smile turned knowing as Jack turned away, just long enough to extract his wallet from his pants and slap a bill on the bar. That done, he picked up his bottle, and nodded towards the door. "I could use somethin' better than stale beer and bar nuts. Two fucking days on that mountainside. 'Could eat a horse," The last was added for show, to excuse the hungry, almost desperate look Jack was giving the other man. Had he been just a bit less exhausted, he would worry about how it looked, but right then, he just wanted to be out of there. With Ennis. And, really, possibly some food. But he knew that was going to have to wait, anyway.

"Y'ain't eatin' none a'my horses, Twist." Ennis led the way, again shouldering his way through, this time toward the door. He grunted as he pushed out into the cold night, and he reached up to pull the collar of his coat to his chin.

"'S fucking cold out here. 'S a wonder you din't freeze your balls off." He was talking to distract himself. He had just enough self control to keep himself in check until they were around the side of the building, out of sight in a poorly lit alley.

Once they'd stepped out of the light, Jack's hack hit the brick, as Ennis pressed agianst him, holding him tot he wall, his hands groping as his mouth sought a possessive kiss, just short of ravishing jack then and there.

"Hey, not my choice, cowboy. An' I still can't exactly feel-" The rest of the sentence was lost to a rush of breath as his back crashed against the wall. He grunted, and despite hoping for what had happened, he couldn't fight the initial tension, the hands to Ennis' shoulders, an ingrained fight-or-flight kind of response. Still, once he felt the lips on his, the hands roughly claiming his hips and groin, he gave in easily enough- but not without acting in kind.

Ennis had the sense they should get the hell out of there, but the drive back to his place would take too long. he'd been longing for this moment for years, he'd thought of Jack every time he was with Alma, and it made him half sick with disgust and want and need. His mind was swimming, muddled now, unable to stop, once he'd started, his hands tugging ruthlessly at Jack's coat, the front of his shirt.

This time, the protest had to do with the exposure of skin, more than anything- years or yesterday, it was fucking cold out, and Jack had been far too cold as it was. Instead, he directed the hands back down to the waist of his pants, hoping Ennis would take the hint and get to the point, rather than fooling around with nudity. At least not there. There would be time for that, when they found somewhere to stay.

Ennis had no interest in removing clothes. No. That would be suicide, in the cold, and out behind a redneck bar, to boot. No. He just needed to tug Jack's shirt loose from his jeans so he could get his hand down the front of the denim. He grunted, growled, rumbling violence just beneath the surface. His mouth was hard, possessive, unrelenting against Jack's lips, his hand moving forcefully agianst the man's sex.

Jack was contrastingly silent as he let Ennis do as he wanted, focusing his energy on working the cover off of Ennis' belt buckle. He peeled away the layers of fabric just enough to get his hand inside, to grop Ennis with a matching roughness. He held his own in the kiss, but didn't bother to try and fight for dominance; it could come later, but for now, he knew Ennis would have to work out some of his aggression, or Jack wouldn't be walking away from things easliy.

Ennis wasn't one for words in any situation, and this was no exception. he communicated through low grunts and the movement of his hands, the way he sucked in his breath and tilted his hips, pressing agianst the heat of Jack's hand. He gasped, arching himself cat like against Jack.

With a low, nearly silent moan Jack tightened his grip on Ennis' cock, stroking him roughy. It was a promise of things to come, although if he could avoid it, he'd rather it wasn't in the alley behind a cowboy bar. That knowledge was still the only thing keeping him from turning and offering himself to the other.

It didn't take long. Ennis could feel the pressure building. he gasped, rocking on the balls of his feet. His hand tightened on Jack's cock, pulling a hard stroke.

Jack was right there with him, and the sound of Ennis' completion pulled his own pleasure out of him. He took a long minute to bask in the feeling, just enjoying the way Ennis was pressed against him.

As soon as it was done, Ennis pulled back. He withdrew his hand and himself, pushed his shirt back into his waistline, refastened his belt. He took several steps away from the alley, before looking back at Jack.

He waited until they were at the end of the alley before adknowledging Ennis again, falling back into the acquaintance mannerisms easily enough.

"So, where're we headed, cowboy?"

"I got me some land 'bout an hour from here." Ennis didn't look back, but kept walking toward his truck. His swagger was more self assured than it had been before, despite the knots twisting in his gut.

"An' a truck to get us there, right? I need t'fuckin' rest before I walk somewhere else, cowboy," Jack moved to walk next to him, hands shoved in his pockets to fight off the urge to touch Ennis.

"I got my truck, Rodeo," Ennis replied. He inclined his head toward the truck, a beat up old model.

Jack smiled with a low, sarcastic wolf whistle, walking around the front of the truck to hop into the passenger side. "My chariot awaits, huh?"

"Didn't say that, did I?" Jack chuckled, moving to prop a knee against the dash and relax back against the seat.

"Just wake me when we get there." And, tilting his cowboy hat over his eyes, he settled in to nod off for a while.

Ennis opened his mouth to say something more, but a glance at Jack getting comfortable cut him short. He didn't care much for words, anyway.

He drove in silence, until they reached the farm he managed. He had no idea how or why, but the land, the homestead, and the animals seemed to be his.

If the lurch of the truck didn't wake Jack, the barking dogs might, as the canines rushed out to greet their master.

Jack was jarred awake by the barking dogs, starting and putting his leg down to look out the window. "Shit, cowboy, 'em yours?" He hesitantly opened the door, lowering himself down out of the truck and steeling for the barrage of the dogs.
