Lisa Cuddy (House) ([info]eyesuphere) wrote in [info]utr_logs,

Entry tags:lisa cuddy, slevin kelevra

Who: Cuddy and Slevin
What: Him bringing her food
When: Yesterdayish
Where: Um.. I guess their house? Her house.
Warnings: Who knows

She wasn't quite sure why this guy she barely knew was bringing her food, but she supposed she didn't mind him coming over. If he wanted to help, who was she to turn it down. Besides, it wasn't like anyone else was offering to bring her food. Not even her kids. She was doing paperwork, and waiting when she heard the door and went to go get it.

Opening it up, Lisa gave the guy a look over. He was young. And cute. Great. Just what she needed. She just didn't know if she was being sarcastic with herself or not.

He headed for the movies first because that would be the most damaging. He figured the story would be a drama - there wasn't that much comedy in it - and he scanned the titles.

"Understandable," he murmured. "That they'd ogle you."

It was then that she realized she was still holding onto his hand. She was holding the hand of a guy she barely knew. Great. And she kept blushing when he complimented her, "Uh.. thanks.. I think.." she shrugged a bit.

When they passed the tv section, she picked out Home MD and passed it over, "It's ... House.. I mean Greg House.. not Greg Home.. he's here.. two of him actually.."

"Two?" Slevin found that if he just didn't think about anything Lisa told him, it was easier to understand.

"Huh." He shrugged and held onto the DVDs, cocking his head as they rounded a corner back into drama. His jaws dropped when he found it.

"... this really explains a lot."

"One came from like.. some.. alternate... universe.. there's doubles of some people.. from like.. two different points in their life.. it's fucked up.." she waved her hand.

She eyed the dvd and then him and then back at the dvd. Oh right. Yeah, that was it. "Uh.. do.. you want me to watch it?"

Slevin's throat was suddenly dry, so he just nodded. "Yeah. I do." He didn't know what he'd tell her about Lindsay - and he also didn't know why it was so important that she know.

But he wanted her to know things up front, from him, especially if she could just pick up a film and watch it.

Slowly she reached down and picked up the dvd and nodded, "All right then I'll watch it.." she could tell he was nervous about it. Obviously there were things he probably didn't want her to see.

What could she say? "I've seen.. a lot of .. fucked up stuff.. try not to worry so much.."

"Yeah, well. It doesn't make me look like a very good person." He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, shrugging. "You'll decide what you think of me afterwards, without my help, I guess." He looked over the box for the DVD he was holding, chuckling.

"Well... you've been okay so far, and you've had your chance to kill me and.. god knows what else since you've been here so.. so far, so good.. and just because you've done things in your past well.. everyone's done things they're not proud of.." she read the back of the box and her eyebrows went up. Hm.

"Do you wanna watch mine? You're more then welcome.. you'll just feel sorry for me that I have to put up with all those people though," she smirked.

"How about we watch mine together, then we watch a bit of yours?" Hers, being episodic, had a lot more content.

He sighed and chuckled a little. "It's got a good ending? Sort of happy. And um." He exhaled and tried to explain Lindsay as best he could. "Lindsay - the girl in the movie, in my life - I really liked her and she's not here, but everyone has exs, and I don't know, maybe you remind me of her in a really attractive, smart, brunette, older than me but in a highly sexy way, and I hope you won't hold it against me." He inhaled sharply, laughed nervously, and then went to go pay for their rentals.

"That's fine with me," she followed him up to the counter so they could pay. "So this is a .. pay no attention to the sex parts of the movie?" she smirked slightly. "I think I'll be okay.. no holding it against you.. everyone has... types I suppose." god did she have some kinda younger guy thing? Great. At least she wasn't a stranger to this sort of thing. "And you're going to give me an ego, if you keep that up."

"It was more of a 'pay no attention to the girl because she's not here and I don't know if she's coming and I was going to ask you out to dinner in more of an official date capacity later' thing." He forked over his Visa, glad that the person he'd "replaced" had a decent pay rate.

"And if you don't know that you're gorgeous, you could use an ego. Ego isn't a bad thing. Too much is. Sort of like bacteria." He winked at her as he signed the reciept.

For the tenth time this evening, her eyebrows shot up, "A ... date?" did her voice squeak? Her voice probably squeaked. "Uh... right.." she was a little distracted from the whole being beautiful thing. "Thanks.. um.. right.. date? I uh.." she blinked a moment. "Sorry, my brain will catch up in a moment. I'm just not.. used to.. dates."

Right. "I.. well.. I.. want to say yes? I just.. I understand you don't know if she's coming I've just.. had it happen... a bit."

"If she does, we'll deal with that then." He shrugged. "I don't want to miss out on something good because something might happen. And she's probably mad. I had the guy who looked after me shoot her."

Slevin blinked, then thought about what he'd said. "She was fine though. It'll make sense eventually."

Another eyebrow lift. "Had the guy.. shoot her. Right.. okay.. sure.. make sense.." she wasn't sure about being wary now or what. "All right. I suppose.. dinner wouldn't hurt.." since they were done with the store, she took the bag of movies from the guy and headed out.

"Want to keep walking or head back?"

"Let's head back. I want you to see that when I say 'had him shoot her', it wasn't bad." He winced, already sorry he'd said it. But glad she'd said yes to dinner.

"... if you say so.." she was feeling a little dubious but well she'd give him the benefit of the doubt. She headed out with him onto the street, sticking the movies in her bag so she wouldn't have to hold onto them. "And don't worry.. I've had to shoot a couple of people myself." and no, she wasn't joking.

Slevin shook his head and grinned. "You continue to surprise me, Lisa." He reached out for her hand again, figuring if she didn't like it, she'd shove him away.

Ah why not? She put her hand into his and smiled back, "That's me, I'm just full of surprises. And if I'm surprising you should have seen the look on their face when I actually shot them. Didn't think I had it in them. At least it got House to shut up. For a while anyways."

"God I wish," she kind of rolled her eyes. "I shot at him once.. that was fun. He knows better then to push me further then I'm... well I let him get away with a lot of things. Or at least I used to. Not here, since he's not the genius doctor.. well he's still a genius but there's more then one so he can't pull a lot of shit."

Slevin was sure the DVDs would help explain, so he didn't comment. Once they'd gotten back to Cuddy's house, he wentto what he assumed was the living room and sat down, removing his jacket.

"So. Yeah." He shifted in his seat, chuckling. "If anything, I hope it's entertaining?" He wondered how it would show his family dying. He hoped it didn't at all.

She slid out of her own jacket and took off her shoes. "Want anything before we.. start? Though I guess.. really.. eating is probably a bad idea since .. it's your life.." even if it was a movie.

Putting the dvd into the player, she grabbed the remote and sat down next to him, putting it on. "I'm sure it'll be.. entertaining. Most movies are.. even if they're.. over the top sometimes."

"This is ... brighter than I remember it." He blinked and sat a bit closer to her, then remembered that they were watching part of his life and moved away. It wasn't really a date movie, anyway.

"That's movies for you.. they make my boobs look.. huge.." she snorted slightly and then shut up so that she could watch. Well at least it was interesting. And a guy who looked like Bruce Willis. Sorta. "I've.. seen that guy.. but I don't think.. it's.. him.. hes that..Die Hard guy.."

"That's..." Slevin let his voice trail. He didn't want to tell her anything, and would let the movie do so. He actually chuckled a little at Goodkat's wit, but then got very very quiet when the bit about his parents came on. He closed his eyes for most of it.
