Bobby Twist hadn't seen his father for nearly fifteen years. The last he knew, his father had been killed. It wasn't a tire blowing up in his face, Bobby knew the truth. It wasn't even because he was homosexual. Bobby knew his grandpappy had had his daddy killed, cause Grandpappy didn't like Daddy. Bobby wasn't a genius, he didn't have to be to figure these things out.

And now, Bobby was about to be reunited with his Daddy. Pa. He called him Pa, mostly. Pa had been dead a long time, and yet, Bobby had spoken to him. After the vortex, and the arrival in this new world. Maybe he was dead too. Weird, then, that Alma and the baby were here too. Bobby wwasn't sure what to think. He didn't want to be dead. he didn't want Alma and Drew to be dead. But they were all there, with his Pa.

Bobby paced in front of the place where the port key was said to be. That was another thing Bobby couldn't wrap his head around. His Pa was coming to Jackson Hole through a port key. Well, Bobby's just wait and see if Pa actually showed up. Maybe the whole thing was a dream, and he'd wake up witht hat eerie feeling he sometimes got.

	Taking his own drink in hand, he let the pair of them fall into a companionable silence, Jack losing himself in his own thoughts; all the things he'd missed. The birth of his grandson. Bobby was also lost in his own thoughts, trying to separate what he remembered from what he'd been fed the last fifteen years or more. Neither of his grandfathers liked his dad, for whatever reason. Even his mother had little good to say about Jack. Bobby had, effectively, grown up without a father. He knew a lot of his anger stemmed from that fact, from the feeling of abandonment, and the only reason he didn't outright blame his dad, was because his grandfathers tried to force that on him, and he rebelled against them.

	"S'ain't right, son." Jack mumbled out, taking another drink and leaning back on his chair. "'Don't even know where t'start on 'ow 'is ain't right." 	"Don't matter, no how, Pa." Bobby felt the tension too, thick as butter between them. "Y'here and them others ain't here t'poison me 'against you no more." 	Jack spun his glass, watching the liquid swirl around as he thought about that. "Y'got e'ry right t'be mad at me, Bobby. Bobby thumbed at a spot on the table. "Afta' you...when Ennis called, Mama got ta actin' really weird. An' she wouldn't tell me who 'as on th' phone. 'Just a friend a'your daddy,' she'd say. So I sneaked a look at th'phonebill. Didn't say no name, but it gave me th' area code where he 'as callin' from. So I went there, and I found 'im. An' in findin' him, Pa, I found her, too."

	Jack seemed to digest that- so no one had told Ennis. And when he called, Lureen just.. brushed him off. Lucky for him, his beer came, giving him something else to focus on. To redirect his ideas. Bobby nodded. He didn't think it wise to tell his father how Ennis had attacked him, when he'd seen him. How Bobby had been black and blue for days, even weeks, after. He understood the shock, the anger, Ennis must have felt. He'd learned later, from Alma, that Ennis and his daddy were lovers. He hadn't taken the news well at the time, but it helped him understand a lot of things about himself, then, once he'd calmed down.

"Me too, Pa. Me too. M'life ain't never been th'same since, an' I don't hardly regret none of it."
