What: Guitar Hero Party!
Who: Whoever you want to show up! Feel free to have your side logs, but this is the big one.
When: Tonight!
Where: The Winchester Mansion.

Dean bustled about to make the game room ready, giving the cook that he'd hired plenty of room to come in and out with food and drinks. He made sure the XBox was ready with the wireless guitar controllers, and went down to the front door to let people in. He wasn't nervous per se; it wasn't really a party party, just some friends coming over.

But hell. He'd never really done anything like that before.

Dean blinked, having just been snogged, then shook his head and grinned. "Probably asked for a lot more in my life. That works." He motioned toward the beer, chuckling and shaking his head. "Of all the people I don't expect to come to my parties."

The three of them moved toward the beer. Each took one, popping the tops.

: We're sure to liven them up!

: Most of them, anyway. Depends, really.

: Truthfully? Attie's not usually the fun one.

: Been learning to get out more.

Dean squeezed Atropos' hand, chuckling. "Hey, she's doing just fine." He winked at her, then laughed a bit. "Man, my girlfriend's going to burn down the building when she gets here. You ladies hungry? I had this shindig catered."

Attie returned the favor by squeezing Dean's ass with her free hand before taking a swig of her beer and winking at him.

Lachesis rolled her eyes and Clotho smirked. "Sister. Enough now. Let him be."

Attie sighed, put out, and headed for the game room. Clotho eyed Dean. "She'll tease you forever, you know."

"To be honest, were I not taken, I'd have already taken you guys up on your offers. If they really existed. Dunno if you're just teasing. But it's just as well. Bela's ... possesive." He chuckled, grinning. He liked that about his girlfriend, though he'd never tell anybody.

"She can tease all she wants. Hell, I do it too."

"I'm not a tease, Big Boy," came Atropos' cackle as she disappeared from view. Clotho snickered, patting Dean on the back as the doorbell rang.

"Your better half has finally arrived." With a secretive smile, she followed her Sisters.

When Dean excused himself, Henry glanced around and then meandered over to a couch and sat down, pondering what this party was going to be like. He'd never hung out with godly types before. He made a mental note not to piss anyone off, as he didn't like the idea of being smote.

After a few minutes, he heard someone entering the game room, and looked up from his Guinness to see three women entering. The poor man never even stopped to think that these might be The Fates. "Hi," he greeted, raising his bottle in a little bit of a salute, smiling. "I'm Henry." He figured starting with his name was the best way to greet people at something like this.

The Girls nodded as one and Lachesis perched on the edge of the couch nearest him. "Your thread has twisted. It's different."

Clotho tilted her head and sat next to him. "You're still waiting to tell her." A pause and Attie shook her head, with nothing new to add.

The first part of that gave Henry his first clue, but when the youngest girl started talking about his situation with Eileen, Henry started to get the picture. Surprisingly, he was able to remain calm, despite the fact that he was hugely out of his depth here. "Well, yeah. She's still traumatized from what went down with Walter, so I figure making a move isn't the greatest idea." While there was maybe a fragment of truth to that, the real reason he hadn't told Eileen how he really felt about her was that he was just plain scared. He wasn't sure if she felt the same way, and didn't want to risk making their friendship awkward after everything they'd already been through together. "Dean told me you would be here. It's nice to meet you, ladies." He smiled at each of them in turn, taking a moment to remember his mythology and recall each of their names.

"Also true: Nothing ventured, nothing gained," Clotho told him with an air of confidence. While telling wasn't strictly forbidden, nothing was actually set in stone and it was easier to give hints rather than outcomes.

Lachesis nodded. "The Winchesters are very nice guys." She took a sip of her beer and Attie added. "Nice looking, much like yourself, Henry."

And the Crone winked.

Henry considered what Clotho said before nodding. "That's true. I think, if she shows up here, or I end up back home somehow, I'll take a shot." It wouldn't be easy, but it would at least give him an answer one way or the other.

He then turned to Lachesis and nodded. "They really are. I honestly didn't think anyone would listen to me, or believe me, when I started talking about Walter. Not only have they proved me wrong, I'm actually not too worried about it anymore, since I know I'd have them backing me up if I needed help with him." Which was the truth and a lie at the same time. Consciously, he believed what he was saying, but deep down he knew he'd freak out if Walter showed up. The scars left on his mind were still pretty easy to reopen.

And then he mock bowed to Atropos, smiling. "Coming from such a dignified, attractive lady as you, that's high praise!" Henry was actually rather surprised at himself. He wasn't usually this outgoing, but perhaps this was his way of testing himself, seeing if he could be a little more outgoing and a little less shy.

Clotho eased against Henry. "You're a smart man, Henry Townshend."

Lachesis nodded her agreement. "You have nothing to fear here."

"Your friends will back you up," Atropos added.

The girls were seated around Henry harem style, Clotho next to him on the couch, Lachesis perched on the arm and Atropos behind him. At that point, the Crone began playing with his hair. He HAD said it was high praise.

Henry couldn't help but laugh at his situation. Here he was, just your average photojournalist, chatting it up with The Fates. And the truth was? Once the initial shock wore off, he realized that he liked The Fates. They were friendly, and he found it easy to relax around them. Which is why he didn't mind when Atropos started playing with his hair. "I figure when I hear smart advice, I should probably take it," he told Clotho, with a little grin. He nodded a little at Lachesis and Atropos, knowing they were right.

After a moment, his curiosity got the better of him and he asked, "Did you come through the vortex, or did you come on your own?" He gestured in a little circle with his free hand, to indicate that he meant this universe rather than the party. He really was genuinely curious if the vortex effected divine beings the same way as it did normal people.

The Girls looked at one another and each opened their mouth at the same time. With a firm look Atropos managed to speak first:

"Someone spun or wove the wrong-"

Clotho cut her off. "Or cut, Sister dear. Or cut."

"Matters not." Looking at Henry, Lachesis shook her head. "We were not responsible."

Cloey glared at Atropos, then at Lachesis who shrugged.

Henry hadn't realized he'd opened a can of worms. He looked apologetic and then shrugged a little. "Well, for me it was like the Wizard of Oz, only the tornado was in my apartment." He chuckled a little and added, "I'm beginning to get used to traveling to different worlds from my apartment. At least this time it wasn't some tunnel in the wall."

"You're off to see the Wizard," Clotho quipped.

"Or play the guitar," said Khesis. "Tournament style."

"Time to go, there, Big Boy," Attie finished with a wink.

Henry chuckled at that. "Unfortunately, it'd take a wizard to even give me a chance at this thing." Then he realized what they were saying and he sat up suddenly, confusion apparent on his face. "Wait what, the tournament started? How did I miss that?"
