A philosophical question to consider: if Jesus had been born a woman, would she still have been accepted as the Messiah? Would she have made it to thirteen unmarried? Would her father (her real father, no offense to any divine sperm donors) have taught her carpentry? Would the Apostles have been women as well, or would there have been a mix, or would they have been the same individuals?
And more importantly, would there still be branches of Christianity lining up to drink her blood? I imagine that they would take at least a week off every month. |

So I've been thinking, which is sometimes a dangerous prospect as my husband will tell you.
But! With all the new mothers and soon-to-be-new-mothers around, maaaaaybe we should start up some sort of mom's outing club, either with the kiddos or without, depending on what we need. I'm thinking monthly? Weekly is too often, and bi-weekly is just confusing.
Babysitters and older siblings would be welcome as well of course, because it's only fair.
Does anyone else think this is a good idea? Or am I just letting the cookies do the talking again? |

Life is good right now, I mean, really good.
I've got a fiencee, a daughter from the future who somehow ended up well-rounded and not-broken, I've got a place to stay, a place I like to stay, I've got a steady job that doesn't bore me.
So... why do I also have a constant feeling of heavy and impending doom? |
