The world is filled with so many types of people, it seems near impossible to keep track of all of them. But that is what "They" do. It's unclear when "They" started, how "They" became so organized, but as long as anyone can remember, "They" have been there in the shadows, watching. Few people know who "They" really are, what "They" are called, but their purpose is well known throughout supernaturals; "They" keep you safe. Safe from the humans, safe from other supernatural species. Sometimes, safe from yourself. This is where L'académie des Objets Trouvés comes in. Affectionately called The Lost and Found, it is a school where adolescent supernaturals are taught to hone their skills, hide their telling physical attributes, and adapt to living in the world of the humans. Only .03% of the world population are supernatural, and it is only through the close monitoring and assimilation strategies of schools like this that they have continued to thrive undetected. The Lost and Found is a supernatural school with a complicated history and an easy premise. Players can play as students or teachers, and can choose from a variety of supernatural races (or suggest their own!). Occasional school wide plots ranging from creepy to silly help keep things lively, and players always have input. Students are between the ages of 16-19, and players must be 18+ (due to mature content). It's just like any other boarding school- grades, tests, dances, rumors, crushes, roommates, and bad cafeteria food. The only difference is here, your teacher really is a demon. Well... there is one additional difference, just a small, minor catch. You're not allowed to leave until "They" decide you're ready. Founded by witches fleeing the horrors of the Salem witch trials in the 17th century, the city has always been a beacon for the supernatural. Today, vampires, werewolves, witches and other things without names live, work, plot and scheme alongside each other, not always aware of the other but always just under the notice of the mortal world. On the fringes, mortal hunters stalk the magical and the monstrous relentlessly, driven by obsessions both pure and tainted. Greater powers, still, influence events, and an impending feeling of fate hangs over the old buildings and creaking docks of the city. Each day, it functions normally - the subway runs, people go to work, eat in restaurants, go home. But at night, the other city wakes up. Between the safe haven of streetlights and neon signs, the Kindred stalk the living. Undead revenants who feed on the blood of the living, maintaining their Masquerade throughout the centuries even as the signs of the Final Nights gather pace, and murmurs of the end of the world become a constant buzz. The Camarilla maintains order in this city, but it is a tenuous hold, one rife with internecine conflict and the Machievellian schemes of the Elders who hold sway when the sun retreats beneath the horizon. The Camarilla Prince of Blackwood met Final Death some nights ago, at the hands of unknown assassins. Now, the clans of vampires in the bay city jockey for power among one another, the ancient Jyhad being fought through subterfuge and politics. All the while, though, rumors of Sabbat plague the Kindred, and some wonder who was truly responsible for the Prince's death. Blackwood City is play by journal urban fantasy game based on White Wolf's Vampire the Masquerade RPG. The story Brotherhood/Legion Species Rules FAQ Taken/held Cast list Application Credit The Brotherhood is a modern day alternate universe rpg based out of San Fransisco, CA. Supernaturals are now not only living openly, they have taken over the human race and have turned them into slaves. Humans and gifted humans are treated as nothing more than servants and food. Witches and shifters have been exiled to the hills far outside of the city, where they can’t interfere with the happenings of the new government (named The Legion). Fae (fairies) make up the middle class citizens- those that are not thought of as slaves or servants, but are not hold as much power as the vampires and the werewolves. The werewolves and vampires now rule our world, and do so with an iron grip. The witches and shifters, in their exiled state, have banned together and formed a resistance, named The Brotherhood, in order to one day destroy the Legion and have all races be free and equal. People that are not witches or shifters are more than welcome to be a part of the Brotherhood, so long as they are against the government. The Brotherhood carries out covert missions with the intention of ridding the world of the power that the Legion holds over it. Once a month, a Purge is held- an event ‘hosted’ by the Legion in which a select group of slaves are allowed freedom within the city of San Francisco to do whatever they please- No rules, no laws, just pure freedom for one night. During those 12 hours (from 8pm-8am), all supernatural must be in their houses, and are not allowed to leave until it is over. However, during those 12 hours, randomly selected members of the Legion are allowed to hunt the freed slaves, much like animals on a safari. If the slave makes it through the night and stays alive, they are taken back to their master and awarded one week off from their duties. If a werewolf, vampire, or fae is accused and found guilty of a heinous crime (IE: the killing of a Legion member, treason, being a member of the Brotherhood, etc) they may be put into slavery and made to do a Purge night as well.
