Hi everyone!

My name is Lex and I’m new here.

This is Vanessa Kiel. She’s a succubus in grade 11 and has been at the academy for 3 years now. Vanessa outwardly comes across as a bit of an ice queen and she’s very no-nonsense and disciplined. She hopes to become a lawyer one day. Hobbies-wise, she’s athletic. Despite how she comes across outwardly, she’s actually quite warm and caring, and is even a closet romantic. If she cares about someone, she’ll spend time around them, give makeovers, and do stuff she considers pointless (such as just hanging out rather than studying or playing a sport together) to make the person happy.

Vanessa needs to feed on life force energy, and can do this in three possible ways: through touching her hand directly to another person’s skin (her usual method), through a kiss, or through sexual contact. This life force energy allows her to heal quickly even by demon standards. She’s also got pheromone manipulation powers to attract others to her, but this ability is poorly controlled. If your character has ever found themselves suddenly attracted to her...sorry, she probably needs to feed. Her pheromones can also make a person near her match her emotional state if they don’t have adequate mental defenses, so if your character has ever felt inexplicably annoyed, sad, happy, etc. in her presence...oops. It wasn’t on purpose, she promises.

I want all the lines! Friends, enemies, study buddies, favourite & least favourite teachers, people who she feeds from now and then, etc.

Also as a note: Things have gotten slow around here, so I'm doing an official activity check (again). Those who don't reply to this post will be deleted from the game. If you've got an inactive friend, let them know to just make a note that they're still here, even if they'll be slow. And let's try to get some activity going if we can. The holiday season is over, so I'm hopeful we can get back into the swing of things (myself included).

Hey there. This is my new girl, Josette, but she goes by Josie. She is a 16-year-old shifter from France. She is very laid back and easy going, and is a little bit of a party girl. I'd love to establish some connections for her; good, bad or indifferent, I'm not picky but she is! Josie just wants everyone to get along and have fun.

So two of our players (James and Roz, aka Lena and Zoe) have left the game, which means the Secret Santa lottery is a little wonky. So we have a choice to make: either we toss back in the people who had those characters (or whose characters had them) and remix, or we can call it quits to the idea. I know it's a busy time of year for people, so let me know what works for you guys.

The Secret Santas had been sent to everyone via private message from the Mod journal. In the spirit of secrecy, please don't reveal the recipients until December 19th, when the "Santa exchange" will take place in the school. If your Santa wants to leave little surprises for their recipient beforehand (something left in a locker, in front of their room, etc) let me (the mod) know and I'll post anonymously on your behalf to the IC community.

Also, please keep in mind that most of the characters are high school students with limited means, so there shouldn't be exchanging of obscenely extravagant gifts.

Hello, my beautiful people. I'm Roz.

I play the other half of the twin duo with Jim. I play Zoe, who is sixteen and a great deal more talkative than her sister. Zoe is terrible with academics, and she much prefers to be doing something. Since she and her sister tend to counter balance each other, the both of them likely appear to be missing certain aspects, or failing a great deal more in certain areas than any one individual would be, merely because they have the other sister to rely on for those things. Zoe's the one succeeding in talking, so chances are, she'll be talking to your people. Her attention span is a fair bit shorter than her sisters, and she's a lot more impulsive and more likely to do things merely on whim or because they sound like fun at the time.

Her journal layout also resembles the flash (which is a bomb show that you all should be watching on Tuesday nights, check your local listings or the internet because that shit's on hiatus yo), so you can go look at that, I'll wait. There's more about her at her journal, I have not posted the finished the product of her in depth bio so don't bother with it. I'll be playing one half of the Renaud twins. This is Lena.

I mean I could write you a whole thing about her, but the truth is, me and Roz (who plays her sister) spent like three days writing the most kick ass history for them, and we'd be devastated if no one ever ended up reading it, so maybe y'all could go take a look? Pretty please? Lol.

They're sixteen, and they ran because they have a horribly abusive mother and a father who wishes he could be more involved in their lives (but can't, because their mother won't let him). They're shape shifters. They have two older brothers. They were born in Belgium, but have lived in Chicago since they were two. They are fluent in French (Belgian French, that is), and English is their second language, believe it or not. But they've been speaking it since they were five or so, so don't worry, they can understand and be understood.

I'd love to have a chance to play with as many players and as many characters as possible, so please, hit me up! My AIM is faithinthesound and anyone who knows what song that is from gets a hundred gold stars because I'm thinking it's pretty obscure!!!

Hello everyone! I'm the newb, but you can call me Nicole. I bring you Daryn O'Conner, the new teacher of Biology and Healing(Which sounds like one class but it's two). She's a gifted human with the ability of Health Manipulation. She's perfectly nice but a little on the socially anxious/awkward side. She's not sure how she'll handle being in front of a classroom, but she's got enough background knowledge to be able to hash it all out. She's also a L'academie alum, and voluntarily chose to come back, so there's that.

Her whole bio can be found here, but it's pretty long so I don't blame you if you don't read it all! I'm super excited to have been accepted to the SL and can't wait to get playing, so don't hesitate to toss things my way!

Hey everyone, Jen here. I'm just postimg up that I'm going on an official Hiatus probably for the next week or less. I'm going into surgery for my tonsils tomorrow and I dont know how I'm going to do or what meds they'll have me on. Wish me luck, I'm probably going to need it lol.

First and foremost, things seemed to have quieted down in our game, and this is not good. Quiet games die. I of course shoulder some of that blame, but life does get in the way and I'm sure everyone here can relate to that. So on to the announcements.

I am placing an "inactive" hold on anyone who didn't reply to the last activity check. If you get back to me and let me know you're still here, the hold will be released, but after a week I am deleting those characters. "But Mod, why not just send them an email?" Because I'm not going to chase them down to make sure they still play here, that's silly. If they don't check on here regularly then obviously they don't play.

I have updated the advertisement. Not that is affects any of you, but it took hours (and isn't actually that much changed) and I need to brag a little somewhere. If you guys know any good advertising comms where you haven't seen our ad, please let me know.

And finally, the big news... I have officially added a new race to the roster. I debated about it for a while because it's very "typical" of supernatural games, and I didn't want to go that route but in the end, this is half of what makes the fun. So if you go to the Race Guideline page, you will find our newbies... The magi.

I'm hoping that this might spark some new characters within you guys, and if you've got questions or suggestions for me, don't hesitate to post!

So I'm the mod, and I'm terrible at introductions (and doing things in a timely fashion, and keeping organized, and etc). But! Here is a newbie/oldbie. Her name is Nora, she has been at the academy for about 6 years, but it's very possible many of the veterans don't know her. Nora has DID, or multiple personalities. So she goes to therapy with the school counselor a lot, and when that isn't enough to keep her alter at bay, she has violent outbursts and is sent to the detention facility until her symptoms are under control once more.

Her alter's name is Dante, and he is a huge asshole with no regard to anyone. So there will be times that a person is talking to Nora without realizing that they're actually addressing Dante, and they think she's a total asshole. (This is another reason Nora might not be known to your peeps- she tries to keep to herself to prevent that kind of thing.) Which is a shame because Nora is pretty cool.

At the start of this school year, Dante tore up Nora's dorm room and she's been in the DC until now, so people of the first floor (both new and old) would know about the "crazy chick who flipped her shit and trashed her room", though they may not know who said chick is. But it happened in room 104.

If you have any questions, or feel your character might have previous encounters with either Nora or Dante (Della, I'm looking at you), feel free to message me. I'm on a feeling sick upswing, so I'm likely more chatty and agreeable. :)

Also, a bit of modly disclosure. I have a kind of chronic sick going on, which isn't life threatening but it does make me feel like junk sometimes, so if I'm slow to tag or I seem to disappear for a while, or I'm unresponsive to messages on AIM, it's just because I'm feeling lousy. It isn't personal and it isn't deliberate, promise. :)

It's Halloween, both in game and out! Don't forget to get involved in the Halloween Dance! If you don't feel like posting out a scene, feel free to just comment with what your kids did at the dance, and put up a picture or description of their costume if you like! Just make sure to put "OOC" in the comment subject line so people know not to tag it for a thread.

Also, Halloween is a time for pranks and mischief. Don't forget about the Bathroom Rumors, and if you're so inclined, have your kids (or some NPC) cause a little ruckus. A hallway full of paper cups, giant fake spiders left in lockers, a tape recorder that plays creepy voices left hidden in bathrooms or hallway vents... have fun with it, but keep in mind that anything too severe (such as property damage or blatant violation of rules) will have consequences.

Just as a heads up, I'm postnig the Halloween dance a week in advance, because large scenes take a long time to play out and since the game moves in real time (relatively speaking), I don't want it to bog anyone down. So feel free to post in it, and keep playing the week as normal, and try not to get things mixed up.

Also, I'd like to do an unofficial activity check, just to see who's still with us. If you're still active in game, make a comment here and tell me (if you need to) which characters are staying and which you feel like dropping.

Hi! I'm T, very new here, and am bringing in Della Kheelan, a defunct little faery with a myriad of issues, who has been at the school since age 12 due to her being a "pure bred" rarity (an unfortunate byproduct of faery mischief in the human world). You can learn all about her here.
