Toujours Libérer

It’s the middle of the French Revolution, and hundreds are fleeing from the Terror which has engulfed Paris, and spread throughout the countryside. Many are trying to make it across the Channel to avoid Madame Guillotine. Unscrupulous merchants are making a small fortune from shipping fugitives to Dover, while even more profit from handing escapees back to Robespierre’s men. 

In England, opinion is split between the radicals such as Wordsworth and his contemporaries who want to join the Republic’s revolution, and the aristocratic old guard who see this as the first step towards an inevitable European war for monarchy.

And in the middle of all of this, there are the people. Those who have had to make a choice, to flee with what they have or to join the revolutionaries. There are spies, heroes and villains. The innocent and the corrupt. And all of them want to be free.

Toujours Libérer is a role-play game based within the French Revolution. It is slash-friendly, focused on the intrigue and passions of the time. Play as any European nationality or an American observer, as a poet, politician or aristocrat. Even a serving maid. Will your character escape France and resettle in England or will they help French aristos to escape? Will they betray their ex-employers or  will they risk all to keep them safe?
