Who: Thomas and Abigail [Erebus and Aphrodite]
What: He does what he does best: mingles and possibly takes someone home unless he gets too wasted for all of ~that~.
Where: Starlight Diner
When: Day after Valentines Day
It was possible he was about to do something he hadn't done in quite some time. It was a drug and he couldn't remember what the girl had said it was but he kept the pill nestled safely in his inner pocket of the vest he wore. What drug it was didn't matter much to him as long as it made this night more interesting because right now? It was boring as fuck.
He had already made several rounds in the VIP sections of the club, had danced his stupid drunk heart out with a gaggle of models that had the good sense to not wear underwear under their thigh high dresses and now Thomas was standing by himself by the main lower bar that was nearest the entrance of Midnight. The bartender on duty kept giving him looks as if she were ready to jump to it if his glass looked even remotely empty and thankfully she was pretty enough that he didn't feel the need to tell her to knock it off.
He could have easily texted Felix, he supposed, but the last few visits with Felix had felt strange and left him with jarring dreams every time. As if Felix had anything to do with it but it was still a weird enough coincidence that Thomas hadn't yet contacted his friend. His hand slid into that pocket and fished the pill out to inspect it again before tucking it right back into his pocket.
God he was getting too old for popping pills.
It was probably the best choice he had made all night. When he woke up the next day with his head still buzzing from the bass of the beats thrown by the DJ he wondered how much worse it could have been had he taken some kind of upper. This hangover business was nothing new, nor was the business of sending home a girl whose name he forgot, promising to call her even though he didn't have her number.
By the mid afternoon after bullshitting around on the internet he toyed with the idea of taking a trip to that very diner the girl had been talking about. Sure it would be nice if he could just get something delivered to him so he could continue being lazy but with the hangover wearing off he was feeling anxious about being stuck inside all day. And that was how he ended up at the diner, though he decided to be audacious when he asked a nearby old waitress if the "pie fairy" was working. She had chuckled dryly and sat him in her section.
Thomas shrugged off his pea-coat and glanced wearily at the menu as he waited.
