The now very famous pie fairy was, indeed, working. She had been working for the past handful of hours and the sale in pies had increased more than they had before. They had been a few whispers from the manager to implement wings, but Abigail, in her own friendly way, had declined the idea. The faded, mint green waitress dresses were eye-catching enough without sequins and netting adding to the emsemble.
Collecting the check from another table that had just finished, Abigail sent them on their way with a friendly farewell and biddings to enjoy the rest of their day. The amount was tucked away in one of the pockets of the wait apron tired around her waist as she made her way to her next table.
From first glance, Abigail knew he had probably had quite a rough evening. Not everyone enjoyed Valentine's Day like she did. Pulling a small notepad from the other pocket of her apron, Abigail offered Thomas a bright smile. "And what can I get for you today, sir?" Polite, attentive, and ready to get the man whatever his heart desired as long as it was in her power; that was how she treated all of her customers.
"The pot pie is on special with a cup of soup of your choice. Might I suggest the chicken noodle? I've heard we have the best this side of the city."
