Bann Purrsly has decided that she owns my entire bed. I'm having a hard time disagreeing with her.

[Laura Roslin]

I have recently come into contact with a healer who may be able to assist with the issue we had discussed previously. His only condition is that you be discreet in who helped you, which given his past I find reasonable. I can provide more information if you would like, but given that I do not believe my own powers could assist you his might be able to.

[Clinic Staff]

I have to say, I'm impressed with the work each of you has done. With the storm, I know our parents and myself are all appreciative of the time you've all put in.

We have some new faces in the staff, which hopefully will allow us to serve our patients better. With how it's going we're likely going to have to find someone who will do, well, I believe they're called secretaries here. And they still get to keep their minds here

However we do have a limited number of funds from the loan given and current donations that we've received from patients. I will admit that back home it was usually just a matter of getting dragged around by Hawke to break up a few bandit bands to get funding, which I'm fairly certain is not how to help the clinic in this world.

That said, any ideas on the issue of fund raising would be excellent. I would prefer that all of us get to keep working, after all.

I said pretty much the same thing to him when he told asked me to do it, but if all options are on the table to keep the clinic running, that's one.

There are other ways of finding money. Let's not resort to the barbaric trait of rationing health care to only those who can afford it.

I'm looking into doing some outreach for the more severe cases in the city, as cautiously as possible. The center had a few deals with the American Cancer Society and other charity groups where they'd send me their incurable patients in need and encourage donations with their publicity. I'm just not sure how much attention we want our way.

Is that a wise thing to do? There will be cries for you to do nothing but heal the world, and then outrage when you cannot.

That's why I'm hesitant. It happened in my world. There was something of a riot outside of the center. I wasn't allowed out without armed guards. The government had to get involved. I don't want that to happen, and I'm not sure how to do the most good while keeping the peace. This is a new world.

Not advertising it is going to be crucial. People still believe in miracles, I don't know how your abilities work, but perhaps we could use that as a veil of secrecy around you.

I'll be honest with you, I'm not entirely sure how they work either. I know how to use them, but I was the only one who could do it. We all had to learn as we went. We did have a geneticist, Kevin, who knew more about our condition than we did, but he didn't end up discussing much with me how it actually works.

The end result is I can cure anything, but it takes a lot out of me depending on how bad the case is. I think it has to do with energy transference, like I'm giving my life force to them and it's repairing the damage. Jordan thought using me as a figurehead with my powers would make the world less afraid of us. I just want to help people, but it's risky how we go about it, like you've pointed out.

I would think it would make the world more afraid, not less. We practically need a PR employee for the clinic.

They were afraid either way and with good reason. It seems wrong not to use my abilities, but at the same time we're in a precarious situation here. I told the doctors to alert me for emergencies and SHIELD knows to do the same thing.
