Just when I didn't think my life could get any more messed up, I'm walking into my new quarters on a strange planet, getting staffed in the face by my roommate. Not for the first time, either. That's the important part.

I've never even heard of this place.

Yeah, we have a lot of giant robots people pilot around. I've never been in one, but they're around.

This Earth probably isn't alone out here. I just hope whatever life we find is friendly.

I think they're beautiful. It feels ... it's breathtaking to pilot one.

Definitely not alone. Is Earth looking for alien life?

Ours aren't beautiful, but it's probably pretty exciting to pilot one. What are yours like?

I don't know. As long as I can remember, there was alien life on Earth.

Her name was Gipsy Danger and she was American. She was one of the second oldest jaegers still being piloted. Blue, with a nuclear heart.

I could go on forever about her. What are your ships like?

You're not from this version of earth?

Ours don't sound that graceful. They're large cockpit bodies with long, mechanical legs (either 2 or 4). They're clunky, but they get the job done.

Our spacecraft are kind of beautiful, though. In a way. If you ask Poe Dameron about his X-wing, I bet he'll tell you a love story.

No. I'm from another Earth and another time. It's 2016 here and I was born in 2003. And my Earth had giant monsters-- which is why we needed the robots.

I'd like to see one, still.

Poe replied to my post. He's a pilot too?

Poe's the best pilot in the galaxy! He can tell you all about our spacecraft.

It will be an honor.
