A question for the new year:

Is there anybody else here that's supposed to be dead?

I haven't seen my movie yet, but others have told me about it, and death by way of poisoning and flamethrower immolation is much more exotic than I would have imagined for myself, even on a moon light-years away from earth.

Pretty much that. I was in Elysium with other fallen heroes, then suddenly here.

Elysium? As in the Elysian Fields? The Greek concept of the afterlife?

That's right. Only it's less of a concept and actually real where I come from.

Where do you come from?

Earth, actually. One very similar to this one, with the except that the only gods that I've heard of being here is the one that came through the Tesseract. I'm originally from Boston.

Boston? No shit.

So, before all of that, did you believe in traditional Greek mythology? Did the religion progress into the modern era?

Well. The gods and goddesses have always been here. They follow the flow of Western Civilization, starting in Greece and then moving from country to country. When I died, Olympus was in New York, above the Empire State Building. They weren't believed in widespread, but they still existed.

I didn't actually know anything about it until I was ten-years-old. I'm a demigod, my mother being Aphrodite. At that age I was told about all of this and was taken to a camp that protected demigods.

Really? And they're actually the mythological gods-- not just beings from another planet or universe that call themselves that? Did you have a human father?

I'm sorry if I'm barraging you with these questions. I've dedicated a lot of study in the Classical sphere during my life, so all of this is, for lack of a better word, unreal.

They're actually the gods, yes. And yes, my father is a human. He owns a chocolate factory back home. There are a lot of us demigods here, as it turns out. One of my half-sisters is here, among others.

Oh, don't even worry about it. It's totally fine. I don't mind answering questions.
