FESTIVAL OF RECREATION

From the second you leave the elevator, there are lights. Holographic, sparkling, twinkling lights that dance. Known as holoffs, these lights are in tune with the music, your heartbeat, your moods. They will swirl around you as you dance to a rhythm, turn various colors for your enjoyment or to show your mood. They will interact as you eat and dance and hopefully romance.

What? You thought the Festival of Recreation was about anything you do for fun?

It's this world's version of — well, not quite the Valentine's Day most of us celebrate (or don't). But it's less about love and more about, you know, sex. It's closer to Lupercalia than anything else. There's no animal sacrifice, but there are those that consider sexual relations during this particular festival to have better fertility outcomes. One of the non-Displaced passengers will likely have some study to talk to you about with the findings and how it's real.

They have split out the park so that those who don't wish to partake in any recreation can still enjoy themselves. Half of it is devoted to food and dancing, with the lights acting as a guide for that. There are lots of interactive dances and games, some with the fertility angle so you know... Mind your youngin's eyes. It's mostly PG-13 tops on this side.

The other half of the park, and you have to be over 18 to get into it, is more about drunken debauchery with comforts abound for those to partake. You can even find a temporary mate with some lovely Companions for your enjoyment. They are free to turn you down, and you must discuss desires and consent before, but everything is above board. This is considered an admirable profession, and the Companions come in all shapes and sizes.

No one on board considers this depraved. They consider it beautiful.

Alucard came in excellent Naboo fashion with Rhy. He also was having Naboo inspired hair styles.

Gabriel would have accepted coming with Seivarden. He was in snazzy porno film fully dressed formal style. BC he's hopeful about what kind of party this is going to be.

Nina came in a dress with sheer mermaid bodice and red skirt, confident and looking for fun. If you were in conversation with her, she flirted.

Declan show up in a grey suit and really hoping Ronan doesn't show up.

Gansey checked it out with Blue, briefly. He didn't dress up what he considers dressed up but cleaned up nicely. Pressed khakhis, a bright spring-shade of shirt, and boat shoes.

Breq showed up with Seivarden in military inspired fashion. It's what she's used to.

Tahiri came, without shoes. And in an outfit from Naboo.

IDK if Pidge showed up but if so... in normal clothes. Maybe to raid the food?

Much flamboyance. Rhy is definitely wearing something more dress-like than suit-like. Something silky and swirly that Alucard could definitely easily get under if he wanted.

Gabe and Seivarden are definitely having fun tonight. Seivarden is also real glad that Breq gets to enjoy the party even after Seivarden goes off without her.

Like the only reason Ronan would be here is because they didn't know it was THIS kind of party and if Adam wanted to go with him. But he definitely wouldn't be inclined to stay long after figuring out what kind of party it was.

Alucard's outfit is probably hard to determine exactly what article of clothing it qualifies as and what gender should wear it. Alucard will take a little advantage of Rhy's outfit (on the 18+ side) but mostly teasing. As much as he appreciates this environment, he's not that exhibitionist when it comes to sexy times.

Oh yes, Gabe is super pleased with the kind of party it is. Also up for hitting on people together if Seivarden wants. He's easy going and not really blinking at this. Breq rates p much all such parties on the music (and generally having thereof, preferably something with vocals but she likes all kinds).

Lolol, Ronan. So sheltered. Which, I mean, Declan did some of that sheltering. So. XDDD

Whatever it is, Rhy thinks it's really hot. And a little teasing is the perfect amount of taking advantage as far as Rhy is concerned. They can grab some fun party favors and head back to their room ;)

Seivarden is down (or up ;)) for anything, really. She will flirt with displaced and probably Companions as well, after determining that they genuinely enjoy and feel respected in their professions. Gabe will definitely get some individual attention too.

HEY. Just because he doesn't want to attend an orgy doesn't mean he's sheltered. He just wants to keep sex between him and Adam, ok.

Yes they can DEFINITELY take party favors and work out having fun with them themselves. Alucard was also generally okay with what was going on around them. It's a bit more OPEN about things, but honestly, ship life wasn't known for the MOST privacy (though he did have more than most as captain). So y'know. They are sort of at sea. Makes sense. But yes, fun times in their room. Anisa will ... find a friend to sleep over with.

Honestly, Gabe's seen and known a lot of sex workers over the years and respects it. He'd be up for finding one they get along well with (and CANNOT get pregnant) to enjoy the company of this night. There are things he misses about millennia past. And it's nice to see that element here. And yes, he will flirt with Seivarden in particular as well. :)

This party isn't simply a sexfest. It can be attended without having sex in public. No demand to expand sex beyond you and your boyfriend. Relax. Lolol.

Seivarden's not too worried about the fertility bit because of the whole implanted birth control bit. But that's a fair concern for Gabe. She will definitely also be respectful of them and try to make sure they have a good time.

Well apparently I missed the IM that Adam did in fact want to come so Ronan will be here for at least some of it. Details still TBD lol

Yes, I imagine they have figured that out, lol. Anisa decided to point out she can also go figure out where Sam lives if she wants re:Tombstone times like. But yes Lila, Aziraphale, school friends, there are options. She also says she's going to this on the SFW side ALSO in Naboo wear.

Like it's not oh no AAAAAH level. Gabe can ~*~make~*~ condoms after all and the like. But yeah, always something he takes seriously. (and unlike Lucifer, he practices safe sex). Yep, very clear. And hopefully that'll go just fine. BC 100% moodkiller if not. (which honestly, Gabe doesn't think anyone should wanna get knocked up by an angel). The lack of babies thing with Seivarden is definitely a nice element that lets Gabe relax even more around her.

Nina says nights like these are MEANT for looking that extra bit ~more. Plus it's fun friends/girl time before a party. And she doesn't want to get maudlin or anything. It's been a year, after it'd already been much of a year. But still. Yeah. :D Fun times to be had!

And she'll probably ask at some point whether Genya wants (tonight or ever) to look for someone here or with... that whole David briefly here thing... that's not. She feels bad for appreciating not really having an awkward separation from someone like that ~~due to death of one party~~.
